61. STATUS OF A MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL OF THE FEDERATION AND A DEPUTY OF THE STATE DUMA

Deputy status State Duma (DG) and member Federation Council (SF) is determined by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Federal Law "On the status of a member of the Federation Council and the status of a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation."

In terms of social guarantees, a member of the Federation Council and a deputy of the State Duma are equated with a federal minister, and the chairmen of the chambers (their deputies) are equated with the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation (his deputies).

Raytheon laser systems for detecting and destroying drones 23.10.2019

Raytheon has handed over the first buggy equipped with a laser anti-drone system to the US Air Force. About one year passed from the moment the technology was presented to its implementation in the form of a ready-made weapon system.

The device is a high-energy laser system installed on a cross-country vehicle. It uses electro-optical/infrared sensors to detect and track drones. Once the system identifies and starts tracking the unwanted flying device, it will then neutralize the drone with a laser. The whole process of destroying the target takes a few seconds.

The system can be powered by a standard 220-volt outlet and can fire dozens of laser shots on a single charge. The device can be paired with a generator if it needs to be in the field for an extended period of time.

The Air Force received the anti-UAV system earlier this month and is deploying it overseas for a year-long experiment. It is planned to train operators and test how effective it is in real conditions.
