VHF HF bridge

Antenna section. Measurements, setup and matching. Figure 1 shows the RF bridge circuit, developed on the basis of the UA9AA design [1]. As a rule, the hinged mounting used in the manufacture of the bridge limits the operating frequency range of such devices to 140 ... 150 MHz. To ensure operation in the 430 MHz range, it is advisable to manufacture the device on a double-sided foil textolite. One of the successful installation options is shown in Fig. 2 and 3 ... >>

Beginner radio amateur. Radio

Section Beginner radio amateur. Here is the schematic for your first receiver (see pic). There is nothing new for you here, I can only explain about the coils. If you see in the diagram two coils with a line between them, then this means that these coils have an inductive connection. If we place two inductors side by side and start changing the current in one of them, then an EMF will appear in the second coil. An inductive coupling between coils L1 and L2 is needed to connect the circuit with the rest of the receiver. Communication is inductive, conductive and capacitive. ... >>

Noise suppressor and automatic shutdown on TV ULPST(I)-61-11

Section Television. The LF noise suppressor circuit is shown in fig. 1. A properly assembled device does not need to be adjusted. The device shown in Fig. 2 is designed to automatically turn off the TV at the end of TV shows. The procedure for working with this device is as follows: first you need to press the SB2 button - while the network is supplied to the power supply of the TV, relay K1 is activated (if the TV receives any signal). The button can then be released ... >>

Latest news of science and technology, new electronics:

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

Energy from space for Starship 08.05.2024

Producing solar energy in space is becoming more feasible with the advent of new technologies and the development of space programs. The head of the startup Virtus Solis shared his vision of using SpaceX's Starship to create orbital power plants capable of powering the Earth. Startup Virtus Solis has unveiled an ambitious project to create orbital power plants using SpaceX's Starship. This idea could significantly change the field of solar energy production, making it more accessible and cheaper. The core of the startup's plan is to reduce the cost of launching satellites into space using Starship. This technological breakthrough is expected to make solar energy production in space more competitive with traditional energy sources. Virtual Solis plans to build large photovoltaic panels in orbit, using Starship to deliver the necessary equipment. However, one of the key challenges ... >>

8-core processors on ARM big.LITTLE 23.03.2013

Samsung Electronics has announced its intention to launch a new generation of Exynos 5 Octa processors for mobile devices from the second quarter of 2013.

Exynos 5 Octa has a total of 8 cores and is made with ARM big.LITTLE technology. ARM big.LITTLE technology involves a combination of two processors: one processor with Cortex-A15 cores and the second with Cortex-A7 cores. Each of them is 4-core.

Processors with Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 cores work alternately, depending on the tasks, and are not switched on in parallel. For this reason, Exynos 5 Octa cannot be considered a true 8-core processor, said Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs.

The first smartphone to feature the Exynos 5 Octa processor will be the Samsung Galaxy S IV. The start of its sales in Russia is expected in the second half of April.
