Powerful bipolar stabilized power supply, 2x44 volts 4 amps per channel
Section Power supplies. In amateur radio literature, the opinion has repeatedly been expressed about the need to power the UMZCH from a stabilized power source to ensure its more natural sound. Indeed, at the maximum output power of the amplifier, the voltage ripple of an unregulated source can reach several volts. In this case, the supply voltage can be significantly reduced due to the discharge of the filter capacitors. This is imperceptible at peak values of the output voltage at higher audio frequencies, due to the sufficient capacitance of the filter capacitors, but it affects the amplification of high-level low-frequency components, since they have a long duration in the music signal. As a result, the filter capacitors have time to discharge, the supply voltage decreases, and hence the maximum output power of the amplifier. If a decrease in the supply voltage leads to a decrease in the quiescent current of the output stage of the amplifier, then this can also lead to the appearance of additional non-linear distortions. ... >>
Miniature electronic ballasts based on the IR53HD420 chip
Section Ballasts for fluorescent lamps. The design must be made in such a way as to exclude accidental contact with bare terminals of conductors or parts. When checking the operation of the structure, you should not touch any of its parts or circuits with your hands, and solder the parts to be replaced only when the mains plug is removed from the socket. Consider a miniature electronic ballast based on an IR53HD420 (IR51HD420) hybrid microcircuit, which has built-in power transistors and a voltage boost diode. Subminiature electronic ballasts based on the IR51HD420 hybrid chip are designed to work with single lamps with a current of up to 0,3 A and are widely used with compact fluorescent lamps. Structural diagram of IR53HD420/IR51HD420 is shown in fig. 3.20 ... >>
Foreign integrated low frequency amplifiers
Section Reference materials. At present, a wide range of imported low-frequency integrated amplifiers has become available. Their advantages are satisfactory electrical parameters, the ability to select microcircuits with a given output power and supply voltage, stereo or quad performance with the possibility of bridging. For the manufacture of a structure based on an integral ULF, a minimum of attachments is required. Using known-good components ensures high repeatability and typically no further tuning is required. ... >>

Artificial leather for touch emulation
15.04.2024
In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>
Petgugu Global cat litter
15.04.2024
Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>
The attractiveness of caring men
14.04.2024
The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>
Random news from the Archive Nuvem transatlantic fiber optic internet cable
29.09.2023
Google has announced the launch of an innovative transatlantic fiber optic cable called Nuvem. This project aims to establish high-quality Internet connections between the United States, Portugal and Bermuda. It is designed to provide more reliable transatlantic communications in the face of growing demand for digital services. So far, the detailed technical characteristics of the new cable system remain unknown.
In recent years, the Bermuda government has taken steps to attract investment in submarine cable infrastructure and develop a digital hub in the Atlantic Ocean. This became part of the support for relevant initiatives at the legislative level. Nuvem is not the first communications cable to be built in Bermuda, but it will be the only one connecting the islands to Europe. Local authorities have actively sought to make the islands an interconnection hub for submarine cables from the Americas, Europe and Africa, similar to the role Guam plays in the Pacific.
Portugal was chosen as the cable landing point not only because of its strategic geographic location, but also because of the country's active efforts to strengthen its digital economy infrastructure. It has received the status of Europe's "digital gateway" and is making significant investments in the development of cable infrastructure. These information highways are expected to catalyze growth in many high-tech sectors.
In the United States, the cable will be laid on the coast of South Carolina. The project also aims to transform the region into an emerging technology hub. Recently, laying of the Firmina cable has already begun here, which will connect this state with Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. Nuvem is planned to be ready for operation by 2026. Combined with the Firmina and Equiano projects, this cable will create new digital routes connecting North and South America, Europe and Africa.
In May of this year, the European Union announced its intention to build an undersea Internet cable in the Black Sea. The cost of this project is estimated at 45 million euros, the length will be 1100 kilometers, and it will connect EU member states with the Caucasus region through international neutral waters.
