1. Great geographical discoveries

В конце XV - начале XVI вв. при помощи океанских экспедиций (великие географические открытия) впервые были установлены прямые стабильные экономические связи между Европой и другими частями света. В короткий срок в экономику европейских государств были влиты огромные, еще невиданные в истории материальные ресурсы из Азии, Америки, Африки. Великие плавания были обусловлены кризисом средиземноморской торговли вследствие завоевания Турцией Южно-Средиземноморского и Азово-Черноморского бассейнов, что побуждало европейцев искать выход в установлении прямых связей с Востоком.

Роль играл и фактор политического характера - завершение государственного объединения ряда стран Западной Европы. Особенно это касалось Испании, объединение которой совпало с окончанием многовековой войны за отвоевание страны у арабов, завладевших некогда ею. Экономика Испании была слишком слабо развита для того, чтобы феодалы превратились в крупных сельских хозяев, как в Англии.

Испанская корона направила опасную энергию внутри страны безработных феодалов на завоевание земель за океаном, это обусловило первенство Испании в открытии и освоении Южной и Центральной Америки.

Большое значение имел прогресс европейской науки и техники, особенно судостроения и навигации. В XV в. был создан первый тип океанского судна - каравелла с тремя рабочими мачтами и ярусным расположением прямоугольных парусов. Это позволяло идти при любом направлении ветра нужным курсом.

Успехи навигационной науки заключались в усовершенствовании компаса, который в XV в. обрел свой современный вид: магнитная стрелка на острие иглы под стеклянным колпаком.

Чтобы самостоятельно осуществлять выбор целей или средств, находясь в отдалении от родины, необходимо было появление в европейских странах самодействующих личностей. За полторы тысячи лет своего существования феодализм благодаря присущему ему выбору поведения воспитал навыки самодействия людей. Это в решающие моменты первых океанских плаваний породило нужную инициативу, гибкость, энергию.

2. World market

К концу XVI в. поверхность земного шара увеличилась в 6 раз. Торговля стала мировой. За счет новых товаров (табак, какао, чай, кофе и др.) расширились не только территориальная сфера обращения, но и торговый ассортимент, резко возрос оборот известных, но редких ранее риса и сахара, и особенно азиатских пряностей.

Борьба за овладение новыми рынками привела к созданию в странах монопольных торговых объединений. Их таких наиболее мощными были английская и голландская Ост-Индские компании, которые боролись между собой за индийский рынок теми же методами, что и Генуя с Венецией до географических открытий (морской разбой, войны и т. д.).

Изменилась и техника торговли. Для осмотра только образцов товаров требовалось специальное место, и в XVI в. основывается Антверпенская биржа. Постепенно роль центра мировой торговли и кредита переходит к Амстердаму, а затем к Лондону.

3. Reformist way of transition to a market economy in Germany

В отличие от стран первого эшелона Германия перешла к рыночной экономике в результате осуществления продолжительных реформ, которые не задели интересов юнкерского дворянства. Началу преобразованиям положил эдикт 9 октября 1807 г., который объявил крестьян Пруссии лично свободными; затем последовали аналогичные акты в 1809 г. (Бавария), 1911 г. (Гессен), 1817 г. (Вюртемберг), 1848-1853 гг. (Австрия). Исчез ряд феодальных повинностей вместе с личной зависимостью, а с законодательных актов прусского правительства (1807-1921 гг.) начался выкуп феодальных повинностей крестьян, выход крестьян из общин, раздел общинной земли. Это все создало предпосылки для концентрации земли в руках зажиточных крестьян. В 1832-1850 гг. к западу от Эльбы и в Австралии было создано 12 земельно-рентных банков, которые до 1913 г. субсидировали операции по выкупу крестьянских повинностей и земли.

В Германии капиталистическая реорганизация сельского хозяйства получила название "прусско-юнкерского пути", который характеризуется медленным перерастанием крепостнического помещичьего хозяйства в буржуазное хозяйство.

4. Reformist way of transition to the market economy of Russia

Переход России к рыночной экономике начался с отмены крепостного права (февраль 1861 г.), после чего последовали реформы: университетская (1869 г.); земская, школьная, судебная (1864 г.); реформа печати (4865 г.); городская (1870 г.); военная (1874 г.). Переход к новым социально-экономическим отношениям в обществе, таким образом, предполагал осуществление комплекта взаимосвязанных мер, которые затрагивают все сферы общественной жизни и направлены не только на освобождение крестьянства, но и реформирование государственности (установление парламентской формы правления).

Завершить реформы в полном объеме не удалось, но тем не менее Россия вступила в полосу динамичного промышленного развития, темпы за 50 лет, предшествовавших Первой мировой войне, были на 80 % выше темпов развития Германии и более чем в 4 раза выше темпов промышленного развития Франции.

Drones will drive flocks of birds away from airports 10.08.2018

In ordinary life, the use of drones on the territory of airports or in their immediate vicinity is prohibited, but in the near future the situation will change, but only for special automatic drones that will scare away flocks of birds.

With manual control, the operator can make various mistakes, as a result of which the flock will become even more uncontrollable, which can lead to a collision with aircraft.

To do this, scientists at the California Institute of Technology have developed an algorithm that allows unmanned aerial vehicles to independently direct flocks of birds in the right direction.

They were inspired by an incident known as the "Miracle on the Hudson" in 2009. Then the plane, which collided with a flock of birds, lost both engines at low altitude and miraculously landed on the Hudson River, which was made possible thanks to the professionalism of the aircraft commander Chesley Sullenberger.

However, such situations may well have a more tragic outcome, the developers who created the algorithm considered. Drones record how the flock is formed, how it reacts to "threats", while the computer system forms a further model of the flock's behavior and issues commands to the drone.

The developers have already successfully tested this system, proving that one drone can easily cope with a flock of several dozen birds.
