Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Electrician's Handbook

Power modules designed to build elements of electrical systems for various purposes: rectifiers, inverters, voltage or frequency converters.

The family of power modules includes monolithic hybrid integrated semiconductor assemblies with isolated heatsinks for the following power elements: diodes; thyristors; MOSFETs; IGBT.

Control modules are divided into two groups:

modules with direct control;
modules with optically isolated control.

Functionally, the modules are divided into five groups:

thyristor-diode;
transistor (IGBT)-diode;
half bridges (MOS or IGBT);
three-phase bridges (diode or IGBT);
powerful transistor assemblies (MOS or IGBT).

High end mobile phone V80 from Motorola 09.03.2004

In the second quarter of 2004, Motorola will introduce a new high-end mobile phone, the V80. It will have a rather unusual design: a large color external monitor can rotate 180 degrees to reveal the keyboard.
