I offer owners of motorcycles IZH a simple design of the towing device, made in the form of a single unit with a spare wheel mounting bracket. Despite the fact that there is not much space between the side trailer and the motorcycle, the "spare" does not interfere with the passenger in the back seat.

The power element of the assembly is a steel pipe with an outer diameter of 46 mm, fixed at two points between the motorcycle and the trailer. In its front part, the pipe is fixed with a threaded stud installed in the seat of the rear brace bolt of the trailer. The spare wheel is located on top of the pipe and is mounted on a bracket welded to it. The latter is connected to the motorcycle frame with a latch. This eliminates the vibrations of the spare wheel, which can lead to breakage of the carrier tube mount.

When making a towing device, I recommend following this sequence. First, a threaded stud is welded into the pipe (see fig.), which is then inserted in place of the lower bolt of the rear brace of the stroller. A nut is screwed onto it (the pipe is located on top of the side trailer frame). Mounting angles are applied to the middle part of the pipe and fixed with clamps on the frame of the side trailer.

After that, the corners, and then the pre-mounted bracket, are welded to the pipe. It remains to remove the assembly and finally weld all the joints, and weld a standard towing device in the back - a ball with a diameter of 50 mm. In addition, an ear is welded to the motorcycle frame for attaching the latch.
