1. General safety requirements

1.1. On the basis of this standard instruction, an instruction on labor protection is being developed for a janitor working in a trade organization, taking into account the conditions of his work in a particular organization.

1.2. A janitor working in a trade organization may be affected by dangerous and harmful production factors:

  • moving machines and mechanisms, containers, collapsing stacks of stored containers;
  • reduced air temperature of the working area;
  • increased air movement;
  • insufficient illumination of the working area;
  • sharp edges, burrs and uneven surfaces of inventory and tools;
  • physical overload.

1.3. A janitor working in a trade organization notifies his immediate supervisor about any situation that threatens the life and health of people, about every accident that occurred at work, about the deterioration of his health, including the manifestation of signs of an acute illness.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Fasten the dressed uniform with all buttons (tie the ties), avoiding the hanging ends of the clothes, remove the hair under the headdress.

Do not stab clothes with pins, needles, do not keep sharp and breakable objects in your pockets.

2.2. Inspect the working area and make sure that all wells are closed with covers, pits and trenches are fenced, and there are no sharp objects sticking out of the ground (wire, fittings, broken large glass, etc.) on the territory. Check the presence of portable fences, the absence of breaks in overhead power lines, the absence of piercing and cutting objects in the cleaning material and rags.

2.3. Bring (bring up) the materials and equipment necessary for cleaning (sand, watering hoses, etc.).

2.4. Put on a signal vest before cleaning in a traffic area.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. If there are large traumatic objects (wire, fittings, broken glass, etc.) in the cleaned area, remove them first.

3.2. In places of production of loading and unloading operations, cleaning should be carried out only after they are completed.

3.3. Put on the cleaned areas in the traffic area from the side of a possible collision at a specified distance from the workplace, portable fences painted in bright colors.

3.4. To clean the territory of the organization standing facing oncoming traffic.

3.5. When a transport appears on the cleaned part of the territory, stop cleaning for the duration of its passage.

3.6. Start cleaning with good illumination of the place of work, and in the dark, clean with outdoor lighting on.

3.7. Cleaning of footpaths, sidewalks is carried out moving towards pedestrians.

3.8. When irrigating the harvested area, avoid bending and twisting rubber hoses, do not irrigate against the wind and make sure that water does not get on lighting fixtures and overhead power lines.

3.9. Watering taps open smoothly, without much effort and jerks.

3.10. In the event of the formation of icicles on the roofs of buildings, protect dangerous areas and inform the administration of the organization about this.

3.11. During icy conditions, sprinkle walkways, sidewalks and driveways with sand.

3.12. Stand on the side of the wind when loading garbage onto a vehicle or when storing it in a designated place.

3.13. When descending snow into an open storm sewer well, install a warning sign "Attention. Danger (other hazards)", and at night or on cloudy days, install a red light in place of the sign.

3.14. Clean up broken glass with a dustpan and brush.

3.15. When cleaning near stacks of containers, make sure they are stable.

3.16. Wear rubber gloves when handling disinfectants and detergents.

3.17. Do not use faulty valves and taps. When filling the container, first open the tap with cold, and then with hot water.

3.18. The janitor is not allowed:

  • work in poor visibility (thick fog, blizzard, in the absence of lighting at night);
  • exceed the norms for carrying weights;
  • leave the tool on the roadway.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. If you smell gas or break pipelines (water supply, sewerage, heating, etc.), call the appropriate specialized emergency team by phone.

4.2. To ensure the safety of vehicles and pedestrians, fence off leaks from pipelines and install warning signs.

4.3. In case of injury, poisoning and sudden illness, the victim should be provided with first (pre-medical) assistance and, if necessary, his delivery to a healthcare facility should be organized.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Dispose of garbage and waste packaging material in a specially designated place.

5.2. After cleaning the tanks and buckets for food waste and garbage, sanitize them, observing the established concentration of disinfectant solutions.

5.3. Close the valves on the hot and cold water pipelines in the places of sanitization of waste containers.

5.4. Make sure that the valves on the watering taps are closed.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

New Switching Regulators 29.07.2008

ON Semiconductor has developed two new switching regulators to simplify the design of embedded power supplies in high power density applications.

A new level of integration allows DC/DC modules to be replaced with plug-in nodes to reduce cost while increasing power density. The NCP3101 and NCP3102 ICs are integrated switching regulators meeting the growing industry demand for efficient, high power density designs. NCP3102 is a 10 A synchronous switching regulator. NCP3101 is a 6 A synchronous switching regulator.
