PERSONAL TRANSPORT: GROUND, WATER, AIR
Multipurpose motorist pump. Personal transport Directory / Personal transport: land, water, air Using the proposed pumps, you can wash the car, treat its bottom with an anti-corrosion compound, rinse a clogged radiator, spray bushes and trees, or water the beds in the garden. The pumps are extremely simple structurally, they practically do not use scarce materials or parts. At the same time, they are comfortable, productive and durable. The first pump with a hollow piston consists of a hydraulic cylinder pumping liquid through itself, a handle and a volumetric receiver. These nodes are placed on a frame welded from a corner of 25x25 mm. The cylinder is assembled from a pipe Ø 34x4 mm, a suction valve body, to which a fitting and a fork of the hinge attachment to the frame are welded, a valve ball Ø 14 mm resting freely in its seat, a flange, a coupler and a stuffing box body. The rod (aka piston) is also made of a pipe Ø 26x3 mm, the top of which is muffled by a steel disk 3 mm thick with a hinge eye welded to it. A discharge fitting is also welded into the side wall of the rod. The body of the bypass valve with a freely seated ball Ø 14 mm is screwed into the lower end. Both balls do not have travel limiters. After assembly, the stem is turned (to the fitting) on a lathe to Ø 25,95 mm and ground.
The sealing of the cylinder is stuffing box: two felt rings, cut out from the top of the boot, with a stuffing cord between them, clamped by a cover with three M8 coupler bolts. The receiver, which serves to smooth out the pressure pulsations of the pumped liquid, is a wide steel pipe with plugged ends, inlet and outlet fittings are welded into its walls. Above is a handle that pumps liquid. It is attached to the lug on the receiver cover with a riveted bronze rod Ø 10 mm. Bronze provides wear resistance of the connection and softens the knock during operation. (Such rods are used in all pump joints.) The pumped liquid is supplied through a hose to the suction port of the cylinder. If the pump handle is pulled up, the stem will follow it. Under the rod (its ball is sitting in the socket at this time), a vacuum will be created. The suction valve ball will rise and allow liquid into the cylinder. Its maximum volume is with a fully extended stem. When the handle moves back, the suction valve will close under liquid pressure, the bypass valve, on the contrary, will open, and the contents of the cylinder will rush through the discharge hose into the receiver. With vigorous swinging, the receiver will quickly fill up and the liquid will begin to flow from the outlet fitting into the hose, say, of the sprayer evenly, without pressure pulsations. The second vacuum pump. Although outwardly and even in terms of the set of many components and parts, it resembles the first one, it still works differently. Its hydraulic cylinder does not pump liquid through itself, but sucks in and pushes it out. To do this, a valve body with suction and discharge fittings is welded to it (the latter has radial cuts that allow liquid to pass under the ball) and an ear of the mounting hinge on the receiver.
The gaps formed during welding of the valve body with the end face of the hydraulic cylinder are closed with segment liners - bottom plugs. The piston rod is simpler here than in a siphon pump. It is a machined up to Ø 25,95 mm and polished pipe, plugged at both ends. The design of the stuffing box is similar: felt rings, a cord, a cover and three M8 coupler bolts. The receiver is the same, only a wooden seat is attached to the top of its cover instead of a handle. It is better for the person working with the pump to sit and stabilize the unit with his weight, since the handle here does not move from top to bottom, but from itself to itself. The place of its attachment has also been changed: the main hinge is located on the frame. The frame is the same as the first pump. Same hoses and sprayer.
