Everyone probably knows what a Finnish sled is. Very comfortable design, but painfully heavy and bulky. One day, a thought came to my mind: is it possible to lighten them and make them more compact? It turned out it was possible. To do this, you need to leave only one runner. As the test showed, it is quite possible to ride such a sled even three of us.

For a single-track sleigh, the following parts were needed: a skid from a Finnish sleigh, a bicycle handlebar with a bell, a pipe with an external Ø 25 mm for installing a steering wheel on it, and several tubes Ø 16 mm for struts.

Assembly of the skid - using aluminum rivets. I do not show the dimensions on my drawing - everything was done in place, under my height.

On one lane

The test results of the sled exceeded all expectations. They glide well on the rolled road, and on the ice, and along the path, they are well controlled, it is very easy to keep the balance on them.
