Introduction

This manual regulates the basic safety requirements when hanging a car and working under it

An employee, when hanging a car and working under it, must:

• comply with the requirements of the instructions developed on the basis of the standard, as well as instructions;
• know and be able to provide first aid to the victim in accordance with the standard instructions;
• when moving around the territory;
• fire prevention;
• noticing a violation of safety requirements by any employee, must warn him of the need to comply with them;
• follow the instructions of the representative of the labor protection committee or the authorized trade union committee.

Personnel should not start performing one-time work that is not related to direct duties in the specialty, without receiving targeted instruction on labor protection

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Persons who have passed:

• induction training;
• fire safety briefing;
• initial briefing at the workplace;
• electrical safety training in the workplace.

1.2. When hanging a car, personnel must pass:

• repeated briefing on labor safety at the workplace at least every three months;
• unscheduled briefing: when changing the technological process or labor protection rules, replacing or upgrading a truck, fixtures and tools, changing working conditions and organization, in case of violations of labor protection instructions, breaks in work for more than 60 calendar days (for work, to which are subject to increased security requirements - 30 calendar days);
• dispensary medical examination according to the order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 90 dated March 14.03.96, XNUMX.

1.3. When hanging the car and when working under it, the personnel must:

• comply with the internal labor regulations established at the enterprise;
• comply with the requirements of this manual, fire safety instructions, electrical safety instructions;
• comply with the requirements for the operation of the car;
• use for its intended purpose and take care of the issued personal protective equipment.

1.4. Personnel when hanging the vehicle and when working under it must:

• be able to provide first (pre-medical) assistance to the victim in an accident;
• have on the car a first-aid kit for first aid, primary fire extinguishing equipment;
• perform only assigned work and not transfer it to others without the permission of the head of the AHO;
• during work, be attentive, not be distracted and not distract others, do not allow persons who are not related to work to the workplace;
• keep the workplace clean and tidy.

1.5. Personnel must know and follow the rules of personal hygiene. Eat, smoke, rest only in specially designated areas and places. Drink water only from specially designed installations.

1.6. If a fire is detected or in the event of a fire: start extinguishing the fire with the available primary fire extinguishing equipment in accordance with the fire safety instructions. In case of a threat to life - leave the premises.

1.7. In case of an accident, provide the victim with first (pre-medical) aid, immediately report the incident to the foreman or head of the shop, take measures to preserve the situation of the incident (accident), if this does not create a danger to others.

1.8. For non-compliance with the safety requirements set forth in this manual, the worker is liable in accordance with applicable law.

1.9. In accordance with the "Model Industry Standards for the Free Issue of Special Clothing, Special Footwear and Other Personal Protective Equipment to Workers and Employees", when hanging a car, personnel must be provided with cotton overalls (wearing period 12 months), combined two-fingered mittens (wearing period 6 months).

1.10. The main dangerous and harmful production factors are:

• moving and rotating parts and components of the car;
• posted car;
• hot surfaces of the engine, cooling system, muffler, etc.
• exhaust gases resulting from the combustion of fuels and lubricants;
• collision with another vehicle or collision with people;
• equipment, tools, fixtures.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

3. Safety requirement during operation

3.1. Hanging a part of the car should be done with lifts, jacks and other lifting equipment.

Do not hang part of the vehicle by hooking the hoist hook directly onto the vehicle's tow hook.

3.2. Before hanging a part of the car with a lifting mechanism, you must:

• turn off the ignition (for gasoline engines), shut off the fuel supply (for diesel engines), close the main and supply valves (for LPG vehicles)
• brake the car with a parking brake;
• set the gear shift lever to neutral;
• install the jack strictly under the places specially designed for this car;
• when lifting with a hoist, the chain or cable must be in a vertical position;
• lift smoothly, without jerks;
• under the suspended part of the car, immediately install the trestles and lower the suspended part of the car onto them.

3.3. To hang the vehicle, it is allowed to use only lifting mechanisms and trestlers, the permissible load on which does not exceed the weight of the part of the vehicle being lifted.

3.4. It is forbidden to use faulty lifting mechanisms and traguses and use random objects as tragus.

3.5. The car can be hung up on the lifting mechanism during the time required to install the trestlers (when replacing the wheel on the line - with a standard stand).

3.6. It is forbidden to make an additional lifting with the second jack of the car already hung on the jack, as this may lead to its fall.

If necessary, carry out additional lifting with a second jack, the suspended part of the car should be lowered onto the trestle, and then additional lifting should be carried out.

3.7. Before lifting the car with a hoist, make sure that all the lifting legs are securely installed under the car and that there are no distortions during lifting.

3.8. When servicing a car on a lift (hydraulic, electromechanical), a sign with the inscription "Do not touch - people are working under the car" must be posted on the lift control panel

3.9. In the working raised state, the plunger of the hydraulic lift must be securely fixed with a stop, which guarantees the impossibility of spontaneous lowering of the lift.

3.10. When working on a turntable (tipper), it is necessary to first fix the car on it, drain the fuel from the fuel tanks and the liquid from the cooling system, tightly close the engine oil filler neck and remove the battery.

3.11. It is forbidden to carry out any work under the car on a car hung on lifting mechanisms without placing it on the trestles.

3.12. Before starting work, it is necessary to check the fulfillment of the conditions of paragraph 3.2.

3.13. It is forbidden to start the engine if:

• the car is in a suspended state;
• there are people under the car.

3.14. To work lying under the car, you must use a special sunbed.

3.15. It is necessary to ensure that the legs of the worker do not protrude from under the car in order to avoid hitting them with another vehicle.

3.16. In case of insufficient lighting while working under the car, you should use a portable serviceable lamp with a voltage not exceeding 42 V or an electric torch

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. The employee must immediately inform the manager about each accident that he witnessed, and provide first aid to the victim.

4.2. If the accident occurred with the employee himself, he should, if possible, contact the health center and report the incident to the manager.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Tidy up your workspace. Remove fixtures, tools in the allotted place.

5.2. If the car remains on special supports, check the reliability of its installation. It is forbidden to leave the car, the unit, hung out only by the lifting mechanism.

5.3. Report any shortcomings to the manager.

5.4. Remove and put special clothes in the closet, wash hands and face with soap and water, take a shower. Do not use chemicals for washing.
