Persons at least 18 years of age who have undergone a medical examination and are fit for health reasons to perform maintenance and repair of fuel equipment, who are qualified as a fitter of the appropriate category, who have been trained and tested in labor protection and received a certificate, are allowed to service fuel equipment. 1.2. The locksmith's workplace must be equipped with sufficient, forced ventilation, boxes for storing cleaning materials, primary fire extinguishing equipment, a washbasin with hot and cold water, detergents and a towel. 1.3. Storage of fuel equipment should be carried out on racks, in cabinets and other devices that do not allow dust to get on precision pairs. 1.4. The electrical equipment of the premises must be made in accordance with the safety requirements of electrical installations for this category of premises. 1.5. Locksmiths for the repair and maintenance of fuel equipment must work in the issued overalls and use personal protective equipment. 1.6. Locksmiths must know and strictly follow safety measures when working with flammable and hazardous liquids, prevent their misuse, observe fire safety measures, and be able to provide assistance to victims in case of accidents. 1.7. The locksmith is obliged to know and comply with the internal labor regulations, keep his workplace, premises and equipment clean and tidy, and prevent unauthorized persons from being in it. 1.8. The mechanic for the repair of fuel equipment must know and comply with the requirements of this manual. Persons who violate safety requirements are liable in accordance with the Labor Internal Regulations. 1.9. In cases not covered by this instruction, contact the immediate supervisor, works. 2. Safety requirements before starting work 2.1. The locksmith must arrive at work at the scheduled time. Change into work clothes. 2.2. Fuel equipment (tanks, pipelines, carburetors, pumps, filters, valves) must be cleaned of dirt and washed in detergents (kerosene) in a special room equipped with devices for washing parts. 3.1.2. Maintenance and repair of equipment shall be carried out in accordance with the approved technological process using serviceable hand tools, fixtures and stationary equipment. 3.1.3. Take special care when repairing fuel equipment operating on leaded (poisonous) gasoline. The equipment must be thoroughly washed in kerosene or special washing liquids and dried. Perform work with forced ventilation operating. 3.1.4. Defective and rejected parts and used cleaning material should be stored in special places outside the mechanic's workplace. 3.2. The locksmith is prohibited from: 3.2.1. Work with unwashed parts and equipment, especially carbureted engines. 3.2.2. Use your mouth to blow through the channels and openings of the tube, etc., use an open fire to warm up and thaw (in winter) clogged pipelines. 3.2.3. Use gasoline and diesel fuel for washing parts and hands. 3.2.4. Do not clean up spilled flammable liquids on a rack, workbench, or floor. 3.2.5. Leave the premises and workplace unattended with electrical equipment and lighting turned on. 3.2.6. Smoking in the room for the repair of fuel equipment. 3.2.7. Put your hand (hands) into the fuel spray zone when adjusting injectors and pumps on the stands in order to avoid injury from the liquid ejected under high pressure. 3.3. Safety requirements for the maintenance and repair of fuel equipment directly on cars and tractors. 3.3.1. Repair and maintenance must be carried out in specially designated places (box, table, platform) with sufficient heating and lighting. 3.3.2. The fuel equipment must be cleaned of dust, dirt, after which disassembly (removal) and necessary repairs are carried out. 3.3.3. Before removing or disassembling individual units of the fuel equipment, it is necessary to shut off the supply pipelines and drain the remaining fuel into special containers. 3.3.4. When removing the fuel equipment, use only serviceable tools. You can not use the unwinding of nuts with a chisel, a hammer by blows (from sparking, a fire or explosion can occur). 3.3.5. Purge equipment and fuel lines using compressed air (pump, compressor, etc.). Hot water must be used to thaw frozen pipelines and appliances in winter. 3.4. If leaded gasoline comes into contact with open areas of the body, it must be removed with a cotton swab, bandage, and then washed off with warm water and soap. In case of contact with flammable liquids in the plasma, it is necessary to immediately wash them with a copious amount of a 5% aqueous solution of boric acid and send the victim to a first-aid post. 4. Safety requirements in emergency situations 4.1. The locksmith must: 4.1.1. Immediately stop work, turn off equipment and take measures to prevent loss of life and extinguish fire. 4.1.2. Extinguish burning electrical wiring and equipment with a voltage of over 36 V using carbon dioxide powder fire extinguishers, sand, using felt mats, tarpaulins and other low-combustible materials. 4.1.3. Report an accident or an accident to the shop manager, mechanic, and take measures to provide first aid to the victim. 4.1.4. In case of accidents and severe accidents, before the arrival of the head of the workshop, take measures to protect the scene. 5. Safety requirements upon completion of work 5.1. The locksmith must: 5.1.1. Tidy up the tools, fixtures in the designated places, turn off the equipment. 5.1.2. Remove the components, parts of the fuel equipment being repaired in the designated places, put the contaminated rags (wiping material) in a special metal box. 5.1.3. Bring the workplace (room) to the required sanitary condition. Wash hands with soap and warm water, remove work clothes. 5.1.4. Turn off all electrical appliances, close workbenches and tool boxes, lock the room if necessary, or transfer the workplace to the shift.
