Safe Operation

1. General requirements for labor protection

1.1. General safety requirements are set out in the Instruction "General safety requirements for professions and types of work in furniture production".

1.2. Characteristics of dangerous and harmful production factors

1.2.1. Moving machines and mechanisms, moving parts of production equipment, moving products, blanks, materials.

The source of the factor: rotating parts of the installation.

Action factor: the possibility of contact with the rotating parts of the installation.

1.2.2. Increased dust and gas content in the air of the working area.

The source of the factor: a pair of toxic substances that are part of gasoline, solvent, ethyl alcohol.

Action factor: the possibility of disease.

1.2.3. Increased or decreased temperature of the surfaces of equipment, materials.

Source of the factor: electric heaters of pumps.

Action factor: the possibility of burns from electric heaters.

1.2.4. An increased voltage value in an electrical circuit, the closure of which can occur through the human body.

The source of the factor: current-carrying parts of the installation.

Action factor: the possibility of electric shock.

1.3. Personal protective equipment: cotton robe; cotton white dressing gown; dielectric rubber gloves; cotton gloves; dark apron; rubber boots; goggles.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Check the serviceability and reliability of fastening of the guards of the rotating parts of the installation.

2.2. Check the serviceability of the alarm, blocking and protective earthing of the installation. The blocking excludes switching on when the door of the vacuum chamber is open.

2.3. Make sure that there is a dielectric mat and that there are no foreign objects in the workplace.

2.4. Lock the control panel doors.

2.5. Before putting the unit into operation and applying voltage, warn the operating personnel.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Do not open the control panel doors.

3.2. Do not remove the fences and do not penetrate them.

3.3. Do not replace fuses and electrical signal lamps.

3.4. Do not turn on high voltage when the vacuum chamber door is open.

3.5. Do not touch live parts.

3.6. Do not work with dielectric gloves and rubber mats that have expired.

3.7. Do not carry out repairs and maintenance until the unit is completely shut down.

3.8. In the event of a power failure in the network:

  • immediately clamp the vacuum hose with a clamp;
  • supply air to the vacuum pump;
  • turn off all launchers;
  • turn off the main switch of the unit.

3.9. In case of automatic shutdown of the installation from the protection action, a new switching on should be carried out only after the reasons for the shutdown have been identified and eliminated.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. Turn off equipment.

4.2. Post a table about the malfunction of the machine or equipment and report this to the direct management.

4.3. In the event of a fire or extinguishing a flame, use a nearby fire extinguisher.

4.4. The victim or bystander must notify the appropriate work manager of each accident or poisoning.

4.5. The worker must be able to provide first aid. Such assistance is provided immediately, directly at the scene and in the following sequence: first you need to eliminate the energy source of injury (switch off the engine, stop the mechanism, remove the victim from under the car, a heavy object, etc.).

Assistance should begin with the most significant that threatens life or health (in case of severe bleeding, apply a tourniquet, and then bandage the wound; if a closed fracture is suspected, apply a splint; with open fractures, first bandage the wound and then apply a splint; in case of burns, apply a dry bandage ; in case of frostbite, gently rub the affected area using soft or fluffy tissues). If spinal injury is suspected, transport the victim only in the supine position on a rigid base.

4.6. After providing first aid, the victim should be sent to the nearest medical facility.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Turn off equipment. Wait for it to come to a complete stop. Tidy up the workplace: remove tools, fixtures; clean the machine from dirt and dust; wipe and lubricate the rubbing parts of the machine; neatly fold the finished parts and the remaining material.

5.2. Cleaning of wood waste (sawdust, shavings, dust) from the surface of the equipment, as well as from overalls, is carried out with a brush, sweep or using vacuum cleaners. It is unacceptable to blow the machine and clothes with compressed air.

5.3. Rags used during work and when cleaning, put the rags in a special metal box with a closing lid and take it outside the workshop to a specially designated place.

5.4. Wash hands with warm water and soap.

5.5. Report all noticed shortcomings in the operation of the equipment to the shift worker or foreman.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

More smart meters 06.09.2013

The number of smart meters installed worldwide in distribution network automation systems will grow from about 10 to 143,2 million units. for 2013-2020

Integrating Distribution Automation (DA) applications with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) will increase the return on investment in smart grids. So says a new report from analyst firm Navigant Research entitled "AMI and Distribution Automation Integration."

According to Richelle Elberg, Principal Analyst at Navigant Research, as communication technologies are used in automated AMI networks, utilities are learning and planning how to better integrate AMI and DA systems and solve existing problems. By the end of this decade, AMI/DA systems integration will become the standard for new smart grids, but it will take longer to update the existing base.

The main obstacle to the effective integration of AMI and DA systems is the differences in the characteristics of the used communication networks that are used in the measurement infrastructure systems. This is mainly due to latency and throughput, as well as the lack of specifications for protocols and compatible devices. Analysts at Navigant Research are confident that hardware vendors and standards bodies will overcome many of these barriers to full integration, but that will take time.
