1. General provisions

A medical disinfector belongs to the category of specialists with secondary vocational education.

A person who, depending on the category of payment, is appointed to the position of a medical disinfector:

  • secondary (complete) general education and individual training for at least 3 months without presenting requirements for work experience;
  • secondary medical education without presenting requirements for work experience or secondary (complete) general education and work experience in the profile of at least 2 years.

A medical disinfector is appointed and dismissed from the position by the chief physician (director) of the institution and reports to his immediate superior.

The medical disinfector must know:

  • regulatory and methodological documents that determine the procedure and rules for carrying out disinfection work;
  • approved disinfectants, sterilization agents;
  • nomenclature and consumption rates of disinfectants, conditions for their storage and transportation;
  • operating conditions of disinfection equipment;
  • rules for the use of personal protective equipment and first aid in case of poisoning;
  • legislation on labor and labor protection;
  • rules of internal labor regulations;
  • rules and norms of labor protection, safety measures, industrial sanitation and fire protection.

2. Official duties

Medical disinfectant:

  • performs disinfection, disinfestation and deratization work;
  • prepares disinfection solutions, preparations, baits, equipment, equipment, etc. for carrying out work on disinfection and deratization;
  • checks the quality of the performed disinfection and deratization;
  • complies with the rules of safe work with harmful substances when performing disinfection and deratization work;
  • draws up documentation for the implementation of all disinfection work.

3. Rights

The medical disinfector has the right to:

  • submit proposals on issues of their activities for consideration by their immediate management;
  • receive from the institution’s specialists the information necessary to carry out its activities;
  • demand from the management of the institution to provide assistance in the performance of their official duties.

4. A responsibility

The medical disinfector is responsible for:

  • for improper performance or failure to fulfill their official duties provided for by this job description, within the limits determined by the labor legislation of Ukraine;
  • for offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine;
  • for causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
