I. General Provisions

A design engineer in construction belongs to the category of specialists.
Appointment to the position of a design engineer in construction and dismissal from office is carried out by order (instruction) of the head of the organization.
For the position:

a design engineer in construction is appointed by a person with a higher professional education, without presenting requirements for work experience or secondary vocational education and work experience in design organizations for at least 5 years;
a design engineer in the construction of the III category is appointed by a person with a higher professional education and experience in design organizations;
design engineer in the construction of II category - a person with higher professional education and work experience in engineering and technical positions, replaced by specialists with higher professional education, for at least 2 years;
A design engineer in the construction of category I is appointed a person who has a higher professional education and work experience as a design engineer of category II for at least 2 years.

The design engineer in construction must know:

legislative and regulatory legal acts, administrative and regulatory materials for the design, construction and operation of facilities;
standards, specifications and other guidance materials for the development and execution of design estimates;
profile, specialization and features of the structure of the organization;
methods of designing and conducting technical and economic calculations;
construction technology;
technology of manufacturing and installation of building structures;
types and properties of building materials;
technical means of design and construction;
fundamentals of patent science;
best practices in design and construction;
technical, economic, environmental and social requirements for the designed facilities;
fundamentals of economics, scientific organization of labor, regulation, organization of production and management;
fundamentals of labor legislation;
rules and norms of labor protection, safety measures, industrial sanitation and fire protection.

The design engineer in construction reports directly to _______.
During the absence of a design engineer in construction (business trip, vacation, illness, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed by order of the general director of the enterprise. This person acquires the appropriate rights and is responsible for the high-quality and timely performance of the duties assigned to him.

II. Official duties

The Structural Engineer has the following responsibilities:

Develops separate sections (parts) of the project.
Uses design automation tools.
Participates in the preparation of assignments for the development of design solutions.
Participates in the collection of initial data for design, in solving technical issues for assigned construction projects throughout the entire period of construction design, commissioning of the facility and development of design capacities.
Coordinates the adopted design decisions with design decisions for other sections (parts of the project).
Conducts patent research to ensure the patent purity of new design solutions and patentability.
Ensures the compliance of developed projects and technical documentation with standards, specifications and other regulatory documents for design and construction, as well as the task for their development.
Advises employees of the organization on issues within its competence.
Participates in the analysis and generalization of the experience of developing projects and their implementation in construction and, on this basis, prepares proposals on the advisability of adjusting the adopted general and fundamental design decisions.
Participates in the preparation of applications for inventions, the preparation of conclusions and reviews on rationalization proposals, draft standards, specifications and other regulatory documents, in the work of seminars and conferences.
Performs related duties.

III. Rights

The design engineer in construction has the right to:

Participate in the discussion of draft decisions of the head of the organization relating to his activities.
Request and receive from structural units, employees the necessary information, documents.
Sign and endorse documents within their competence.
Issue instructions to be followed by employees.
Conduct quality and timeliness checks.
Participate in the discussion of issues related to their official duties.
Require from your immediate supervisor to assist in the performance of their duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The construction engineer is responsible for:

for improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - in the manner prescribed by the current labor legislation of Ukraine;
for offenses committed in the course of their activities - in the manner prescribed by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine;
for causing damage to the organization - in the manner prescribed by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.

Veraco is launching a line of products to reduce germs on the surfaces people touch the most.

The British manufacturer has designed and manufactured a range of antimicrobial adhesive pads and wraps for use on doorknobs, shopping carts, railings and other "microbial" areas.

The materials use "silver ion" technology, which destroys the biological composition of microorganisms in order to stop the spread and reproduction of dangerous pathogens. The products kill up to 99,99% of common bacteria and are also effective against COVID-19. Approximate shelf life of wraps is up to two years after installation on surfaces.
