Focus Description:

The magician pours wine from a bottle (Fig. 83, A) into a glass, offering one of the spectators a drink. He drinks. The performer abruptly waves his hand - the bottle disappears in it, and a large beautiful bouquet of flowers appears in its place (Fig. 83, B). The illusionist passes the bouquet to the assistant, who takes him backstage.

A bottle with a secret device.

Tray and glass for wine.

Focus secret:

The secret is in the bottle, skillfully crafted from thin brass and painted to match real glass. The bottle is shown in fig. 83, B at the moment of "transformation" into flowers. It consists of six parts: 1 - neck; 2, 3, 4, and 5 are the four parts of the bottle cylinder and 6 are the bottom. The upper part (1) is made in such a way that about a glass of wine can be poured into it. Four strips are attached to the bottom of the neck on hinged spring balls, curved along the circumference of the bottle. Put together, they form the middle part of the bottle.

On the inside, 25-30 folding paper flowers are attached to each strip. All folded flowers are laid inside; four parts of the cylinder of the bottle are lowered down, they are put on the bottom, which does not allow the bottle to fall apart. It is necessary to quietly remove the bottom, as four strips will fold down and close the neck, and the flowers, opening up, will appear in the form of a large beautiful bouquet.

The bottom of the bottle can be made so that it will be removed inside the bouquet. To do this, it is tied to elastic rubber, the other end of which is attached to the bottom of the neck from below.

If you remove the bottom put on the bottle and immediately release it, the bottle will open, the rubber will draw the bottom to the neck, and the spreading flowers will mask the four stripes that have opened and even a little - the magician's hand. It will seem to the audience that the bottle in his hands has disappeared, and instead of it, a large beautiful bouquet of flowers has “miraculously” appeared.

Cat owners can be divided into 2 camps: some claim that their cat understands everything, but cannot answer, others that cats do not understand human speech at all. But what is it really? Do cats understand what the owner is saying, or are they guided only by the intonation in the voice?

Japanese scientists Atsuko Saito and Kazutaka Shinozuka tried to figure out this issue, the results of the study are amazing, because they managed to prove that cats do not just distinguish intonation, they understand human speech.

How exactly were the experiments carried out? It is clear that it is impossible to talk with cats in the literal sense of the word, more precisely, you can, but you will not understand the answer. Nevertheless, the scientists talked with 78 cats and cats, for the purity of the experiment, not only domestic cats, but also animals from cat cafes that do not have a specific owner participated in the study.

The question was taken as a basis: "Does the cat understand its name? Can it distinguish its name from similar words?".

Scientists have come to the conclusion that our pets really have excellent hearing and they remember words well. On average, a cat can remember up to 100 words spoken by the owner. Cats react in different ways: they can approach a person, turn to him or just move their ear, it all depends on the degree of interest.

Some cats can hear up to 20 names of objects and bring them to the owner, but this, of course, is the result of long training.

Intonation also plays an important role: thanks to the emotional tones of the voice, cats perfectly understand that the owner is angry or upset by one tone of voice.
