I. General Provisions

The development director belongs to the category of managers.
A person with a higher professional (economic, legal) education, at least 5 years of experience in senior positions (including at least 1 year in the position of development director or strategic planning manager) is appointed to the position of development director.
The Development Director should know:

market economy;
rules for the implementation of entrepreneurial activities;
theory and practice of management, macro- and microeconomics, marketing, business administration, stock exchange, insurance, banking and finance;
principles of enterprise development planning;
the main tools for the financial recovery of the enterprise;
methods of economic modeling;
modern enterprise management systems;
basics of production technology;
prospects for innovation and investment activities;
methods of information processing using modern technical means of communication and communication, computer;
basics of administration;
Information Technology;
fundamentals of sociology, psychology;
legislation on labor and labor protection of Ukraine.

Appointment to the position of director for development and dismissal from the position is carried out by order of the head of the enterprise.
The development director reports to the head of the enterprise.

II. Official duties

Director of Development:

Defines the general concept of the enterprise development policy.
Substantiates the goals of the enterprise development.
Develops an effective development strategy and the main sections of the enterprise development plan.
Carries out "diagnostics" of all industrial, commercial processes at the enterprise.
Prepares specific programs for the development and restructuring of the enterprise, analyzes the possibility of financial support for programs.
Establishes budgeting priorities and monitors expenditures to ensure the financial sustainability of ongoing programs.
Organizes efficiency calculations from the implementation of enterprise development projects.
Prepares proposals for the development of new business areas, the development of new markets; develops projects of technical and administrative modernization of the enterprise.
Organizes the presentation of projects and their implementation schedules to senior management, defends and justifies them, answers questions from project management.
After approval of projects, organizes the preparation of relevant documentation, obtaining the appropriate licenses and permits.
Brings the approved schedules of work on the implementation of projects to the management personnel of the enterprise.
Appoints employees responsible for the implementation of projects, gives general instructions, directly supervises them and coordinates their activities.
Organizes the interaction of all structures of the enterprise for the implementation of enterprise development projects.
Coordinates the work on the implementation of projects at all stages, controls the compliance of the decisions made and the actions taken with the basic concept of the enterprise development.
Analyzes economic and financial indicators at each stage of the implementation of development projects.
Develops methods for prompt response to crisis and non-standard situations that can lead to disruption of the enterprise development plan, other adverse consequences for the enterprise.

III. Rights

The Development Director has the right:

For information about all performance indicators of the enterprise, for access to commercial information.
Request and receive from the heads of departments of the enterprise and specialists the necessary information and documents.
Within the limits of his competence, sign and endorse documents, issue orders under his signature on the implementation of enterprise development plans.
Get acquainted with the documents that define his rights and obligations in his position, the criteria for assessing the quality of performance of official duties.
Submit proposals for improvement of the work related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management.
Require the management of the enterprise to ensure the organizational and technical conditions and execution of the established documents necessary for the performance of official duties.

IV. A responsibility

The Development Director is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits established by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of their activities - within the limits established by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage to the enterprise - within the limits established by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.

Numerous research groups around the world are developing various versions of the triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) capable of converting the mechanical energy of the environment into electricity. A group of scientists from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tel Aviv University has created a unique implant that can restore the sensitivity of any part of the human body.

During the experiment, the high efficiency of the technique was shown in restoring the tactile sensations of the patient's fingertips. The sensitivity of various parts of the human body is usually reduced as a result of nerve damage due to injuries, burns or bruises. Scientists implanted a TENG implant under the patient's skin, capable of generating an electrical charge in the process of rubbing two different dielectric materials against each other. This approach allows you to simulate the work of damaged human nerves.

The implant developed by Israeli scientists consists of two square-shaped plates placed one above the other with a minimum gap. In the process of touching the surface with the fingers, pressure is created and when the plates come into contact, an electric charge is generated that travels through the wires to healthy nerve endings, which transmit the signal further to the central nervous system. The implant does not require an additional power source.

The first trials of TENG were carried out on rats, whose hind legs were given tactile sensations, allowing animals with damaged nerves to regain their walking skills. Experiments with humans are planned in the near future.
