I. General Provisions

This Job Description defines the functional duties, rights and responsibilities of a TV video editing operator.
The operator in / installation is appointed to the position and dismissed from the position by order of the General Director, in accordance with the procedure established by the current labor legislation.
The operator in / installation must have a higher professional education without presenting requirements for work experience or secondary vocational education and work experience in positions filled by specialists with secondary vocational education, at least 3 years, performing simple work.
To properly perform their duties, they must know:

directives, orders and other governing documents of higher and other bodies that determine the requirements for the artistic level of television programs;
advanced domestic and foreign experience in organizing television;
creative process and technology for creating television programs;
organization and technology of program editing;
norms and instructions for installation;
technical means and types of mounting equipment;
fundamentals of labor legislation, economics, labor organization and cost accounting;
regulations and methodological recommendations on the organization, regulation and remuneration of creative workers;
rules and regulations of labor protection, safety and fire protection.

II. Official duties

The main task of the video editing operator is the unconditional and high-quality implementation of these instructions, as well as the requirements of the general director and immediate supervisor related to labor functions;
Carries out the entire range of works on editing television programs;
Provides artistic and technical quality of installation;
Complies with current technical standards, as well as the deadlines provided for by the production schedule for installation work;
Ensures the fulfillment of planned tasks;
Checks the availability of all submitted materials, identifies defects in individual takes;
Takes measures to improve the artistic and technical quality of programs;
Ensures the operational readiness of each plot (fragment) during editing;
Informs management about all cases of deviation in footage of mounted scenes (fragments);
If necessary, prepares a finished program for rewriting and rewrites it;
Independently, as an editing director, carries out the process of preparing and editing information stories;
Carries out the installation of all sound materials (music, noise, etc.);
Works on complex assembly equipment, computer.

III. Rights

The video editing operator has the right to:

get acquainted with projects for the reorganization of work and technical re-equipment of the shopping mall;
submit proposals to improve the work of the TEC for consideration by the management;
request personally or on behalf of the immediate supervisor information, documents, information from representatives of government bodies, public organizations, political parties, etc.;
involve specialists from other departments in solving assigned tasks.

IV. A responsibility

The video editor is responsible for:

for improper performance of duties provided for by this Job Description, internal labor regulations, employment contract, orders and instructions of the General Director, as well as the immediate supervisor,
for the safety of consumables.
