Spectators fulfill his request and even seal the rope with wax seals. The elusive movement of the illusionist, and the ring is hanging in the middle of the rope, between the tied hands (Fig. 143, B). The performer invites the audience to untie his hands and examine the ring, rope and seals.

Props:

Copper nickel-plated ring with a diameter of about 10 cm.

A thin rope 4-6 mm thick and about one meter long.

Candle, sealing wax and matches for sealing the rope.

Focus secret:

The secret of the trick is simple, but when performed well and carefully, the trick makes a spectacular impression on the audience. The performer, using a suitable distraction, very quickly and imperceptibly puts the ring on his hand and raises his hands up. The ring slides along the arm inside the sleeve, where it should be held a little, pressed to the side with the elbow, until the moment when it should appear. Of course, the audience should not notice the constricted movements of the magician.

At the end of the number, under the cover of a distracting movement, the ring is released and allowed to slide down the hand. The hands are brought closer a little - and the ring jumps from the palm to the rope with which the hands are tied.

The diameter of the ring is selected so that it does not pass with a straightened palm, but it jumps off completely freely when bent. This is done in case anyone suspects that the ring is being put on the hand. Then the illusionist can ask the viewer to put a ring on his hand.

If at the same time you strain your hand and slightly spread your fingers, the ring will not fit on your hand. Usually the audience does not do this, since the performer, having performed this trick, immediately proceeds to show the next one.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Pivothead SMART smart glasses 01.01.2014

The Indiegogo crowdfunding platform has successfully funded the Pivothead SMART "smart" glasses project with a modular design.

The idea is to give users the ability to connect additional blocks that expand the functionality of the device. These modules are connected to the shackles through the end connectors.

The specification of the basic version of Pivothead SMART provides for an ARM processor, 4 GB of RAM, a 16 GB flash drive, a Bluetooth LE wireless module, an 8-megapixel camera, and a microUSB port. There are two LED strips on the inside of the frame.

The developers of the novelty have designed three expansion modules. One of them, called the Fuel Mod, is designed to increase battery life with an additional 1000 mAh battery. The Live Mod block allows you to broadcast a 1080p video stream, say, to a personal computer: data is transmitted via Wi-Fi wireless communication. In addition, this module has an integrated microSD card slot. Finally, the Air Mod is essentially an additional Android-based mini-computer. It is equipped with a 7 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A1,3 processor, Wi-Fi adapter, microSD slot, gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer, NFC chip and GPS navigation system receiver.

So far, over $130 has been raised on Indiegogo instead of the originally planned $100. A complete Pivothead SMART kit with expansion modules can now be purchased for $410 (retail price will be approximately $630). Deliveries will be arranged in April 2014.
