A high tower of wooden blocks supports the head of a wind turbine with a three-blade wind wheel and a tail.

The lower part of the tower is arranged in the form of a pyramid: a wide base is necessary for greater stability of the structure.

The wind wheel must always be directed towards the wind. But the wind changes direction, blowing from one side, then from the other. Therefore, the wind wheel is fixed on the swivel head. The long lattice truss ends with a large plywood tail. The wind presses on the plane of the tail and this sets the wind wheel in working position.

The head of the wind turbine rotates on a vertical axis of four bars. The axis is passed through a hole in the upper platform of the tower and rests with its lower end on another platform, reinforced below.

Materials and tools. To build a model, you need: 10 wooden bars with a section of 2x2 cm and a length of 300 cm, 30 wooden bars of the same section, but about 180 cm long. Pieces of plywood 3-5 mm thick; nails 2 cm long; a little tin (you can use tin cans); 100 cm of iron wire with a diameter of 4 mm, casein or other waterproof glue, oil paint.

Of the tools you will need: a planer, two or three hammers, a hand saw, pliers, an awl, scissors and brushes.

American scientists conducted a study to determine the main factors contributing to this addiction and offer recommendations for its prevention.
