Loggia, balcony - a kind of additional area of the apartment. True, its dimensions are small, but how rationally do we use these "extra" square meters? Indeed, with a reasonable approach, it is easy to organize a recreation area in the summer (even put a cot for sleeping), mount a cabinet for tools, household items, and sports equipment. Finally, equip a place for carpentry and locksmith work. How to do it?

Look at the pictures and diagrams. Here is an example of solving the interior of a loggia with a built-in wardrobe-partition, the latter simultaneously performs the role of both a storage room and a small carpentry workshop. With rather modest dimensions - 420 mm wide, 1380 mm long and 2500-2700 mm high - it is quite versatile. In one of its compartments, sports and household items can be stored, and in the second there is a folding workbench.

The basis of the cabinet design is three vertical load-bearing shields, doors, bars and overhead shelves are attached to them.

The working table of the workbench consists of a cover with two vices - front and rear, and holes for clamping combs.

On the lid there is a recess (bench cavity) for storing tools in it during work. Another element - a bench - must be part of the structure and two vertical walls of the cabinet. From below, a metal U-shaped bracket is screwed to the workbench, which, when lowered, finds it on the rack, strengthening the connection of these two elements to each other. To fix the workbench in the raised position, a metal bar is used, Attached to one of the vertical walls of the cabinet.

As the door of the cabinet compartment where the desktop is stored, an overhead shield is used, made of multilayer plywood and easily removed thanks to four locking handles located at the corners. Locking brackets are connected to them, which go deep into special grooves made in the vertical walls of the cabinet.

A plywood protective screen will help protect the trench glass from accidental impacts during operation. It is temporarily fixed on the windowsill or nailed to the side surface of the workbench.

To place tools, nails, materials in the cabinet, plywood hanging pockets are used, mounted on wire hooks-brackets. The latter protrude 50 mm from the shield, in which through holes are drilled. The bracket has a bent end and with its help it clings to the plywood wall. Its lower leg is inserted into a rubber cap, which prevents it from sliding on the surface.

There are also simpler carpentry fixtures, such as a workbench, which tilts to a regular table with metal clips and is easily removed and put away. It can be used on a balcony or in a smaller loggia.
