What a shame to damage the car at the entrance to your own garage! Unfortunately, this happens to novice drivers not so rarely, especially if the garage, to put it mildly, is not too spacious. Scratches on doors or fenders, or even broken taillights, are the usual consequences of inaccurate "aiming".

However, all these troubles can be avoided if you equip the garage with simple fixtures. One of them (Fig. 1) is a pair of guide angles, parallel to each other and securely attached to the floor. The height of the corners must be sufficient to "catch" the wheels and thus direct the car to a strictly designated place for it.

If such a design is not feasible (there are no necessary materials, floor installation does not allow, etc.), then you can use another tip - equip the garage with an additional mirror. The essence of this method is as follows. As soon as the car approaches the wall, the additional mirror will reflect the light of the rear light. A kind of "traffic light" through the rear-view mirror will immediately give the driver the "Stop" command. The dimensions, angle of inclination and location of the mirror are selected depending on the specific conditions. In this case, of course, we must not forget about one of the fundamental laws of optics: "the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection"...
