Micromotorcycle. Personal transport

Before starting to build a micromotorcycle, I spent a long time drawing various options for its layout, trying to foresee on paper all the possible errors and miscalculations that might arise in the process of work. Looking ahead, it should be noted that development on paper is one thing, and production is quite another. Many "roughness" got out during the operation of the machine.

In the beginning, I thought of doing most of the parts myself, because I dreamed of a micro-motorcycle, unlike any of those published in the pages of technical magazines. But when such lovingly painted mudguards, a gas tank, a saddle were embodied in metal, leatherette and foam rubber, they lost all their attractiveness compared to the painted ones. Reluctantly, I had to use the parts available for sale. But, as it turned out, it benefited my car - it acquired a completely acceptable look.

As for the performance of the motorcycle and its reliability, I am quite satisfied with them, because I have already ridden about 3000 km on it without any breakdowns. The only drawback (but this is not my fault!) Is the scooter tires are rather weak. no matter what, but for the rear ... You have to put two pieces on the rim at once, but this does not help much either.

The maximum speed of the micromotorcycle is up to 50 km/h, it "holds" the road well and is quite stable. Dimensions allow you to freely place it in the trunk of "Moskvich". The weight of the micromotorcycle is so small that it can be brought to the fifth floor (without an elevator!) and placed almost anywhere in the apartment.

Well, now about the design of the machine. Frame configuration (fig. 2). predetermined the use of the D-6 engine. The pipes for it Ø 28 mm and Ø 14 mm are borrowed from an old bicycle frame. The rear pendulum suspension is welded from pipes Ø 21 mm. Front fork from moped "Riga". I only had to shorten it: I cut the feathers and rods by 130 mm, and welded brackets on the feathers from below (Fig. 5). The front wheel is from a children's scooter without alterations, the speedometer gearbox is adapted to it. The steering wheel from the motorcycle "Java". It houses the gas sector, clutch lever, standard rear wheel drum brake lever, headlight and horn switches.

The headlight, gas tank, saddle, signal, rear shock absorbers and muffler are standard, from the Verkhovyna moped. Mudguards from the same moped - I took the rear one and cut it in half. The branch pipe connecting the engine to the muffler is homemade, bent in place. The motorcycle stand is welded from an eight-millimeter steel bar and hinged to the frame.

One of the most complex parts of a micromotorcycle is the rear wheel. It had to be machined from duralumin, since the main load falls on it. The hub and the rim are made at the same time, inside the first there are two bearings. The driven sprocket (Z=28) is welded to the steel flange. The brake drum is located on the right.

The tire on the rear wheel is double, glued together with scooter adhesive "88".

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

Energy from space for Starship 08.05.2024

Producing solar energy in space is becoming more feasible with the advent of new technologies and the development of space programs. The head of the startup Virtus Solis shared his vision of using SpaceX's Starship to create orbital power plants capable of powering the Earth. Startup Virtus Solis has unveiled an ambitious project to create orbital power plants using SpaceX's Starship. This idea could significantly change the field of solar energy production, making it more accessible and cheaper. The core of the startup's plan is to reduce the cost of launching satellites into space using Starship. This technological breakthrough is expected to make solar energy production in space more competitive with traditional energy sources. Virtual Solis plans to build large photovoltaic panels in orbit, using Starship to deliver the necessary equipment. However, one of the key challenges ... >>

Fujifilm and Panasonic develop an organic image sensor 22.06.2013

Fujifilm and Panasonic announced a joint development in the field of image sensors. The CMOS-type organic sensor technology they created is based on the use of an organic layer in which photoelectric conversion takes place. According to the developers, the light-receiving part of the sensor demonstrates performance that is superior to that of "conventional image sensors."

The use of new technology in sensors for digital cameras and similar devices will increase their dynamic range and increase light sensitivity, which, in turn, will prevent the loss of light elements of the frame and provide rich colors and pronounced textures when shooting dark objects. Partners estimate the dynamic range of the sensor at 88 dB, and its light sensitivity is said to be 1,2 times greater than the light sensitivity of conventional sensors.

Fujifilm's development contribution is organic photovoltaic layer technology. Panasonic's contribution is semiconductor manufacturing technology.

The partners expect to use the development in their products, including security cameras, on-board vehicle cameras, mobile devices and digital cameras.
