The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

Experiment to simulate life on the moon 11.07.2017

A lengthy isolation experiment has been launched in Beijing to simulate life on Earth's natural satellite, the Moon.

Four volunteers will spend 200 days in a specially equipped module located at Beihang University, the Beijing Air and Space Educational Institution.

The total area of the module called Yuegong-1 (or Lunar Palace) is 160 m2. It consists of living quarters and two plant growing laboratories. The living quarters are fitted with sleeping quarters, a shower cabin, etc.

China is actively developing research programs related to the moon. So, on December 1, 2013, the Long March-3B launch vehicle launched the Chang'e-3 automatic station with the Yutu rover. On December 15, 2013, Yutu undocked from the lander and began work, transmitting the first images of the lunar surface. One of the most significant discoveries that were made thanks to "Yuit" was the discovery of a soil of a new composition on the Moon. It is different from everything that was collected by American astronauts in 1969-1972. during the Apollo program and the Soviet moon rovers.

In the future, China plans to send astronauts to the moon. The piloted program is expected to be implemented after 2020.
