Citrus unshiu (Japanese mandarin)

Plant of the rue family (Rutaceae). Unshiu is a small evergreen tree with a spreading crown, reaching 2-3 meters in height in open ground, and at home - 1-1,5 meters. The branches are slightly drooping, with smooth green bark and no thorns.

The leaves are dark, dense, with strongly protruding veins and a slightly elongated oval shape, tapering towards the apex. The life span of each leaf is from 2 to 4 years.

Tips for growing, harvesting and storing unshiu citrus:

Cultivation:

  • Unshiu citrus prefers a warm and sunny climate, with an average temperature of 20-25°C and a humidity of 60-70%.
  • For growing in a pot, it is recommended to use an acidic soil mixture that contains perlite, peat and sand.
  • During cultivation, the plant must be rotated periodically so that all sides receive equal access to light.
  • Unshiu citrus can be grown from seed, but seedlings are best.
  • Planting should take place in spring or summer when the weather is warm and dry.
  • It is recommended to plant unshiu citrus in light and nutritious soil that has good air permeability and moisture retention.
  • The planting depth should be the same as that of a seedling in a container, and the distance between plants should be about 2-3 meters.
  • Citrus unshiu needs regular watering, but does not tolerate stagnant water.
  • The plant needs to be fertilized regularly, using special fertilizers for citrus fruits.
  • It is also necessary to control pests and diseases by treating the plant with special preparations.

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women.

A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless man. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food.

The study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to those who showed indifference to another's misfortune. This result supports the hypothesis that emotional responsibility and willingness to help others are important qualities in potential partners.

The study's findings challenge the popular belief that women prefer "bad boys" and highlight that kindness and empathy are key factors in attraction. These results offer new insights into relationship dynamics and partner choice.

This scientific work confirms that kindness and emotional responsibility are important qualities that make men attractive to women. This new understanding may help to better understand how relationships are formed and what partner selection criteria play a role in modern society.
