1.4. When servicing ammonia refrigeration units, the driver must:
1.5. The driver of the ammonia refrigeration plant must know and follow the rules of personal hygiene. Eat, smoke, rest only in specially designated areas and places. Drink water only from specially designed installations. 1.6. If any malfunctions of equipment, fixtures, tools and other shortcomings or hazards are found in the workplace, immediately inform the foreman or head of the workshop. You can start work only with their permission after the elimination of all deficiencies. 1.7. If a fire is detected or in the event of a fire:
1.8. In case of an accident, provide the victim with first (pre-medical) aid, immediately report the incident to the foreman or head of the workshop, take measures to preserve the situation of the incident (equipment condition), if this does not create a danger to others. 1.9. For non-compliance with the safety requirements set forth in this manual, the worker is liable in accordance with applicable law. 1.10. In accordance with the Standard Industry Standards for the Free Issue of Special Clothing, Special Footwear and Other Personal Protective Equipment to Workers and Employees, when servicing ammonia refrigeration plants, the driver must be provided with: cotton overalls (wearing period - 12 months), combined mittens (wearing period - 2 months) and a gas mask (wearing period - until worn out), goggles, headphones. 1.11. The main hazards under certain circumstances can be:
1.12. In case of non-round-the-clock maintenance of ammonia refrigeration units, engine rooms must be equipped with alarm signaling devices and filtering gas masks GOST 12.4.121. 1.13. For emergency shutdown of the power supply to all equipment of the ammonia refrigeration plant and working lighting, emergency shutdown buttons must be mounted outside 1.14.To avoid electric shock;
1.15. Placement and storage in the engine room of foreign objects not related to operation is prohibited. 2. Labor protection requirements before starting work 2.1. Examine the clothing and make sure it is in good condition. Put on overalls, fasten it with all buttons, put your hair under a headdress. 2.2. Check your workplace. Make sure it is lit and not cluttered with foreign objects. 2.3. Check availability and serviceability:
2.4. Make sure electrical cabinets are closed and locked. 2.5. Check telephone and alarm operation. 3. Labor protection requirements during work 3.1. The performance of work in the engine rooms and refrigeration chambers by persons not related to the maintenance of the ammonia refrigeration unit and the operation of the chambers (repair of the premises, painting) should be carried out after briefing and under the supervision of the person responsible for the operation of the ammonia refrigeration unit. 3.2. According to the degree of danger of electric shock, the refrigerating chambers of ammonia refrigeration plants belong to the category of premises with increased danger. 3.3. Ammonia refrigeration plants must be equipped with instrumentation, automatic protection devices against dangerous operating modes, safety devices in accordance with the requirements of the rules. 3.4. The piping system and vessels of ammonia refrigeration plants are subjected to technical inspection before commissioning, periodically during operation and ahead of schedule. The frequency of technical examinations of vessels is established by the manufacturer. In the absence of such instructions, vessels that are not accessible for inspection must be subjected to a strength test with pneumatic pressure at least once every 2 years. The survey is carried out by a person responsible for supervision at the enterprise. 3.5. The amount of ammonia in refrigeration units located in engine rooms is not limited. 3.7. All moving parts of the machine, as well as machines, apparatus and pipelines in places where they can be subjected to impacts, must be protected. 3.8. The level of illumination in the premises where freon installations are adopted must meet the requirements of SNIP. 3.9. The temperature in the engine rooms must be at least 16°C when equipment is not running. 3.10. The supply and exhaust ventilation in the engine rooms must be forced with the air exchange rate: supply - at least 3, exhaust - at least 4. 3.11. In the compartments of ammonia compressors, in order to avoid an explosion or fire, do not use open flames (matches, candles, lighters). If you smell ammonia in the room, put on a gas mask, turn on the ventilation and take measures to eliminate the leakage of ammonia. If you cannot eliminate the ammonia leak on your own, report to the shift supervisor, call a locksmith, make an entry in the log. 3.12. Monitor the pressure in the receiver, do not exceed the pressure indicated on the plate of the vessel, “undermine” the safety valve once per shift, make a note about this in the log. 3.13. Purge the moisture-oil separator from precipitation in a timely manner. 3.14. If problems are found, turn on the backup compressor, turn off the faulty one and report to the master. Make an appropriate journal entry. 3.15. The operation of refrigeration units with faulty protection devices is prohibited. 3.16 In the premises where the ammonia refrigeration unit is located, it is necessary to have brand A gas masks (the number of gas masks must correspond to the number of workers in the engine room), as well as in case of emergency leakage of ammonia from the system, to work in a highly gassed room, at least 2 insulating breathing apparatus of compressed type ASV 4. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations 4.1 If an electric current is detected on the body of the equipment and in the event of a sudden interruption in the supply of voltage, turn off the equipment and call an electrician. 4.2. In the event of a leak in the ammonia-refrigeration unit, turn off the unit, put on a filtering gas mask to eliminate the malfunction (it is forbidden to eliminate the malfunction without a gas mask). Notify management. 4.3. In the event of a fire, de-energize the equipment, notify the fire department and management, take measures to extinguish the fire with primary fire extinguishing equipment. 4.4. To avoid creating an emergency, do not turn on equipment that is prohibited. 5. Labor protection requirements at the end of work 5.1. Tidy up the workplace. Remove fixtures and tools to a specially designated place. Put the oiled rags in a metal container with a lid to avoid spontaneous combustion. 5.2. Report any shortcomings to the master. 5.3. Remove and put away in a specially designated place (closet) overalls. 5.4. Wash hands and face thoroughly. Take a shower. 5.5. Timely notify the administration and the shift worker of all noticed shortcomings in the operation of equipment, instruments and the measures taken. Make an appropriate journal entry.
