Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Persons at least 18 years of age who have passed a medical examination, training and instruction for the right to work, as well as those who have the I qualification group for electrical safety, are allowed to work as a driver of a asphalt distributor.

1.2. The driver of the asphalt distributor is responsible for the correct operation of the tanker's vehicle, compliance with safety regulations and traffic rules.

1.3. The layout of the asphalt distributor tank truck should allow for maintenance and current repairs by mobile vehicles. The frequency of technical inspection of the equipment should coincide with the frequency of maintenance of the chassis of the base vehicle.

1.4. The design of the asphalt distributor tank truck must ensure the safety of the maintenance personnel.

1.5. The tank truck of the asphalt distributor is equipped with fire extinguishing means (two powder fire extinguishers or two carbon dioxide ones).

1.6. The driver of the asphalt distributor must be provided with PPE:

cotton overalls;
rubber boots;
combined gloves;
rubberized apron;
goggles.

1.7. The tank truck of the tarmacerator must be equipped with a device for storing hoses during the movement, boxes for storing spare parts, special tools and accessories.

1.8. Each truck driver must be assigned to a specific driver by order.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Before leaving, the driver of the gudranator must undergo medical control in the organization to detect drugs and alcohol in the body, as well as the general physical condition.

2.2. The administration has no right to force the driver of the truck distributor, and the driver has no right to leave by car if the technical condition of the trucker does not meet the technical conditions and safety regulations and traffic rules.

2.3. The driver of the asphalt distributor must check the technical condition before leaving, in particular:

serviceability of the engine;
serviceability of the system of bitumen pipelines, valves and distributors;
test the pump
inspect the distributor nozzles and clean them;
check the presence and serviceability of electric lighting and sound alarms;
check the availability and suitability of fire extinguishers;
on a horizontal platform, brake and check the inlet hose and the reliability of its connection to the suction pipe, check if the filter in the intake pipe is clogged;
fill the tank only through the filter at low and medium pump speeds.

2.4. It is forbidden to pour hot material into the tank if there is liquid in it, to kindle the binder in the tank, and also to stay under the filled tank and near it.

2.5. Before ignition of the nozzle, check the reliability of the fuel line connection, the serviceability of the fuel supply and the pressure in the fuel tank, as well as the absence of bituminous drops, smudges and stains in the furnace. If there are any, clean and wipe these places.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. When igniting the injector, first supply fuel with a weak stream, gradually increasing its supply to normal. Light the nozzle only with a torch (igniter) and a long handle (1,5-2 m), while ignition and adjustment of the nozzle should be done from the side.

3.2. The heating system must not be left unattended.

3.3. Before pouring the binder, turn off the nozzles and close the valves of the fuel supply pipeline.

3.4. When pouring bitumen from a distribution hose, it is forbidden for anyone, except for the driver, to be closer than 10 m from the place of pouring.

3.5. During breaks in work, the nozzle of the distribution pipe must be lowered.

3.6. To avoid burns, do not touch the covers of the asphalt distributor and the bitumen boiler, the handles of the distribution pipe and other hot metal parts of the system with bare hands.

3.7. In the event that bitumen overflows over the top of the bitumen boiler, it is necessary to turn off the nozzle or fill the boiler furnace with water (when heated with solid fuel).

3.8. When bitumen is heated in the asphalt distributor tank, it is prohibited:

to produce heating with bare flame tubes;
ignite the nozzles if the liquid covers the flame tubes with a layer of less than 20 cm (in the parking lot);
ignite the nozzles if the tank is completely filled and there is no free volume for bitumen expansion when heated;
heat the watered binder in the tank;
fill the fuel tank of the injectors with gasoline instead of kerosene.

3.9. The driver of the asphalt distributor must have a set of medicines necessary for first aid.

3.10. The driver of the asphalt distributor is prohibited from:

drive in a state of even mild intoxication or sleep in the cab with the engine running;
go to work in a sick state;
transfer driving to another person who does not have a driving license or a license not marked on the waybill.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In the event of an accident, you must:

call the traffic police inspector;
notify management.

4.2. In case of a burn with hot bitumen, it is necessary to cool and wash off the bitumen with kerosene, then with soap and water and bandage the damaged area with a dry sterile bandage, and then consult a doctor.

4.3. In the event of a fire, use powder and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, call the fire brigade, inform the management.

4.4. In the event of an accident or an accident, stop the engine, provide medical assistance to the victim and call an ambulance, report the incident to the work manager.

5. Safety requirements upon completion of work

5.1. After the end of work, the driver of the asphalt distributor must drain the remaining binders, clean the working parts of binders, put the asphalt distributor in the designated place, place chocks under the wheels, inspect the asphalt distributor and report the condition of the asphalt distributor to the foreman.

5.2. Remove starting devices, eliminating any possibility of starting the car by strangers.

5.3. Check the condition of work clothing and footwear.

5.4. Rinse off the ointment and paste with warm water, take a shower and change clothes.

Microcontrollers Texas Instruments MSP432 01.04.2015

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced the MSP432 microcontrollers. According to the manufacturer, they have the lowest power consumption among models based on the 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4F core.

Operating at 48 MHz, the microcontroller consumes 95 µA/MHz, and in idle mode, the current consumption is only 850 nA. MSP432 microcontrollers are designed for supply voltages from 1,62 V to 3,7 V. Among the techniques used to reduce power consumption, one can single out independent power management of eight banks of RAM (turning off each of them reduces the current consumption by 30 nA).

The microcontroller integrates a digital signal processor, a floating point unit and an encryption unit supporting the AES algorithm with a 256-bit key. The equipment includes a 14-bit ADC capable of performing up to 1 million conversions per second. The amount of built-in flash memory reaches 256 KB.

The new microcontrollers are compatible with a variety of real-time operating systems, including TI-RTOS, FreeRTOS and Micrium uC/OS.

MSP432 microcontrollers are expected to be in demand in ultra-low power embedded applications, including industrial automation, building automation, sensors and security systems, inventory control and consumer electronics.

To help developers get up to speed on MSP432 microcontrollers, the manufacturer offers the MSP-TS432PZ100 boards and LaunchPad MSP-EXP432P401R rapid prototyping kit compatible with BoosterPack expansion cards, including the SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3100 BoosterPack card.
