Safe Operation

Introduction

Work on slotting machines may be accompanied by a number of harmful and dangerous production factors, including:

  • electricity;
  • small chips and aerosols of cutting fluid;
  • flying pieces of metal;
  • high surface temperature of workpieces and tools;
  • increased level of vibration;
  • moving machines and mechanisms, moving products, blanks, materials;
  • insufficient illumination of the working area, the presence of direct and reflected brilliance, increased pulsation of the light flux.

When developing the Standard Instruction, the following labor safety system standards were used: GOST 12.0.003-74. Dangerous and harmful production factors. Classification; GOST 12.1.004-91. Fire safety. General requirements; GOST 12.3.002-75. Manufacturing processes. General safety requirements; GOST 12.3.025-80. Processing of metals by cutting. security requirements, etc.

Debtors in the performance of work in accordance with their qualifications are required to comply with the safety requirements set forth in this Instruction.

In case of failure to comply with the provisions of this Instruction, employees may be subject to disciplinary, administrative, criminal and financial liability in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, depending on the severity of the consequences.

  • check the serviceability of the tool head;
  • check the correct sharpening of the cutter and the absence of cracks and breaks on it;
  • securely and rigidly fix the workpieces on the machine table. Fastening is carried out with special fastening devices (stops, clamping bars, etc.). Set the stops so that they perceive the cutting forces;
  • in the event of a power outage, immediately turn off the electrical equipment of the machine;
  • stop the machine if vibration occurs. Check the fastening of the workpiece, cutting tool and fixtures, take measures to eliminate vibration;
  • to remove chips from the machine, use brushes - sweeps and scrapers;
  • do not allow the cleaner to clean the machine during its operation;
  • monitor the correct and solid installation of counterweights and fences;
  • when grooving at close range, while fixing the part, make sure that there is sufficient exit for the cutter and chips;

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Superbread for weight loss 23.02.2023

Experts from the Institute of Biological Sciences, King's College London and the Norwich Food and Health Research Center (UK) used chickpea cell meal instead of wheat flour

Many dieters avoid bread due to its high carbohydrate content. However, nutritionists have managed to develop a unique bread recipe using chickpea cell flour. Such bread tastes better than wheat bread. It makes you feel full and helps you lose weight.

During the traditional grinding of chickpeas, lentils and legumes, their fibrous structure is destroyed. But a new method of grinding chickpeas helps preserve it. Thanks to this, products based on such flour receive additional nutritional properties.

The experts decided to find out how bread regulates the feeling of fullness, and also affects the level of insulin and blood sugar. To do this, they baked three types of buns: one made from wheat flour, and in the other two, wheat flour was replaced with chickpea flour by 30% and 60%, respectively. And offered 20 volunteers aged 18 to 45 years. The muffin was served after 12 hours of fasting for three days with strawberry jam and no sugar with a glass of water.

All participants had blood samples taken before and after eating the buns. It turned out that bread with the maximum amount of chickpea flour caused a feeling of satiety more than others.

The results show that if food manufacturers used chickpea flour, people would feel less hungry. This would help to avoid overeating and reduce the risk of obesity.
