1.2. Hazardous production factors: moving machines and mechanisms, moving parts of production equipment, moving products, workpieces, materials.

Sources of factors: a rotating drill, rotating and moving parts of equipment, poor-quality tool manufacturing and insufficient fixing; insufficient clamping of the workpiece.

Effect of factors: possible contact with the cutting tool, possible contact with rotating and moving parts of the equipment, the possibility of breakage and loss of the drill, the possibility of the workpiece flying out.

1.3. Personal protective equipment: cotton suit; combined gloves; goggles.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Check the sharpness of the sharpening of the drill, make sure that there are no cracks and nicks.

2.2. Check the strength of the drill in the chuck. The drill mount must provide centering.

2.3. Check the serviceability of electrical equipment, grounding and braking devices.

2.4. Make sure the spindle is balanced and has no runout in the bearings.

2.5. The spindle and machine table must move freely.

2.6. Check the serviceability of clamping devices, fences.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Feed the drill on the part smoothly, without jerking.

3.2. Ensure that the workpiece is clamped securely.

3.3. When processing parts with a length of more than 1,5 m, use special attachments, with a length of more than 3 m - roller tables.

3.4. Details with dimensions up to 15x50x100 mm are processed in special devices that provide accurate installation and feed to the drill.

3.5. It is forbidden to work without a drill guard, pulleys and belt drives.

3.9. Inspection, cleaning, wiping, quality control of parts processing, engagement of fences, manual removal of waste from the machine should be carried out with the machine completely stopped.

3.10. If there is a knock, vibration, change in the nature of the noise, overheating of the cutting tool, turn off the machine and inform the master.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. Turn off equipment.

4.2. Post a table about the malfunction of the machine or equipment and report this to the direct management.

4.3. In the event of a fire or extinguishing a flame, use a nearby fire extinguisher.

4.5. The worker must be able to provide first aid. Such assistance is provided immediately, directly at the scene and in the following sequence: first you need to eliminate the energy source of injury (switch off the engine, stop the mechanism, remove the victim from under the car, a heavy object, etc.).

Assistance should begin with the most significant that threatens life or health (in case of severe bleeding, apply a tourniquet, and then bandage the wound; if a closed fracture is suspected, apply a splint; with open fractures, first bandage the wound and then apply a splint; in case of burns, apply a dry bandage ; in case of frostbite, gently rub the affected area using soft or fluffy tissues). If spinal injury is suspected, transport the victim only in the supine position on a rigid base.

4.6. After providing first aid, the victim should be sent to the nearest medical facility.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

8K Ultra HD TV standard 26.09.2019

The TV industry has gone one step further to approve the 8K TV specification, which has not been well defined in recent years and has been interpreted differently on different TVs. From now on, the 8K Ultra HD (UHD) format is officially approved, certified, the exact specification is written for it and the logo is approved.

The Consumer Technology Association has released the official definition of displays for 8K TVs. Any model that complies with the new standard must have a panel with a resolution of at least 7680 x 4320 pixels, support 24, 30 and 60 frames per second, reproduce 10-bit color, support key HDR features, and use HDCP 2.2 level content protection.

The CTA requires Ultra HD TVs to be able to upscale SD, HD, and 4K video to 8K (upscaling). This is to ensure that the video doesn't blur or distort in any way in the absence of native 8K content.

Inclusion in the 8K certification program is completely voluntary. This is somewhat of a formality. Nevertheless, according to the association, manufacturers will certainly want to participate in the adoption of the standard, because there are already televisions of this quality on the market. Manufacturers will be able to apply the new 8K logo on their devices from January 1, 2020.
