1.1. General safety requirements are set out in the instruction "General safety requirements for professions and types of work in furniture production."

1.2. Dangerous and harmful production factors:

  • moving machines and mechanisms;
  • moving parts of production equipment, moving products, blanks, materials;
  • increased noise level in the workplace.

Sources of factors:

  • rotating knife shafts, heads, circular saws;
  • material feed mechanism, drives;
  • feed chains;
  • material feed mechanism;
  • drive chains, rollers;
  • cutting process.

Action factors:

  • the possibility of contact of hands with the cutting tool;
  • contact with rotating and moving parts of machines;
  • breakage and departure of the cutting tool;
  • negative impact of noise on the hearing organs.

1.3. Personal protective equipment: cotton suit; combined gloves; goggles; hearing protection.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Check the sharpness of the sharpening of the cutting tool, the setting of the saw teeth, make sure that there are no cracks, notches.

2.2. Check the correct installation and fastening of the cutting tool.

2.3. Monitor the serviceability of the cutting tool guard, workpiece feed mechanism, line drive.

2.4. Check the presence and operation of blocking devices: guards for the cutting tool and the mechanism for feeding blanks; fencing of the drive of the loading and unloading device; suction devices. Check the operation of the brake devices.

2.5. Make sure that local suctions are working properly.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Make sure that the line does not receive workpieces with nails and other metal inclusions.

3.2. If there is a knock, vibration, change in the nature of the noise, it is necessary to turn off the line. Troubleshooting should be carried out after a complete stop and disconnection of the line.

Testing of the line is carried out in the adjustment mode.

3.3. Inspection, cleaning, wiping should be carried out only after the line has completely stopped.

3.4. Use personal hearing protection.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. Turn off equipment.

4.2. Post a table about the malfunction of the machine or equipment and report this to the direct management.

4.3. In the event of a fire or extinguishing a flame, use a nearby fire extinguisher.

4.4. The victim or bystander must notify the appropriate work manager of each accident or poisoning.

4.5. The worker must be able to provide first aid.

Such assistance is provided immediately, directly at the scene and in the following sequence: first you need to eliminate the energy source of injury (switch off the engine, stop the mechanism, remove the victim from under the car, a heavy object, etc.).

Assistance should begin with the most significant that threatens life or health (in case of severe bleeding, apply a tourniquet, and then bandage the wound; if a closed fracture is suspected, apply a splint; with open fractures, first bandage the wound and then apply a splint; in case of burns, apply a dry bandage ; in case of frostbite, gently rub the affected area using soft or fluffy tissues).

If spinal injury is suspected, transport the victim only in the supine position on a rigid base.

4.6. After providing first aid, the victim should be sent to the nearest medical facility.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Turn off equipment. Wait for it to come to a complete stop.

Tidy up your workspace:

  • remove tools, fixtures;
  • clean the machine from dirt and dust;
  • wipe and lubricate the rubbing parts of the machine;
  • neatly fold the finished parts and the remaining material.

5.2. Cleaning of wood waste (sawdust, shavings, dust) from the surface of the equipment, as well as from overalls, is carried out with a brush, sweep or using vacuum cleaners.

It is unacceptable to blow the machine and clothes with compressed air.

5.3. Rags and rags used during work and cleaning should be put in a special metal box with a closing lid and taken out of the workshop to a specially designated place.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

The smallest flashlight 17.01.2007

In 2000, 15-year-old American Barclay Henry patented the smallest flashlight, and recently opened his own business with his father and brother and began to produce his invention.

This is a plastic cap with two white LEDs, put on a 9-volt Krona-type battery. The cap has a switch for three positions: on, off, reduced brightness (only one LED is on). One ordinary battery is enough for 50 hours of burning at maximum brightness, an alkaline battery for 75 hours, a lithium battery for 200 hours.

As for the service life of LEDs, it is one hundred thousand hours, or 11 years of continuous burning. Despite the rather high price ($ 25), the flashlights diverge well, whole batches are purchased for the American army.
