General safety requirements are set out in the Instruction "General safety requirements for professions and types of work in furniture production". 1.2. Hazardous production factors: moving machines and mechanisms, moving parts of production equipment, moving products, workpieces, materials. Sources of factors: rotating cutter heads, moving parts of the machine, unsatisfactory quality of knives. Action factors: the possibility of contact with rotating cutter heads, the possibility of contact with moving parts of the machine, the possibility of breakage of knives. 1.3. Personal protective equipment: cotton suit; combined gloves; goggles. 2. Safety requirements before starting work 2.1. Check the sharpness of sharpening knives, make sure that there are no cracks and notches on them. 2.2. Check the serviceability of the guard of the cutter heads and pneumatic-electrical equipment that controls the operation of the pneumatic cylinder of the pressure bar. 2.3. Check the correct operation of the pressure line pneumatic cylinder. 2.4. Check the condition of the compressed air hoses of the pneumatic system. 2.5. Check the serviceability of the carriage (the carriage must move smoothly, without jerks and vibrations). 2.6. Check the serviceability of the braking and starting devices with short-term activation. 2.7. Make sure that the pneumatic transport is in good condition. 3. Safety requirements during work 3.1. The edges of the material to be processed must be aligned and in contact with the setting ruler. 3.2. Observe the sequence of turning on the clamping device, rotating the cutter head and moving the carriage. 3.3. When lowering the pressure bar, do not correct or level the material. 3.4. Make sure that the pressure ruler firmly presses the veneer along the entire length. 3.5. The size of the removed layer should not exceed 3 mm. 3.6. Inspection, cleaning, wiping, checking the quality of processing of parts, fixing fences, manual removal of waste from the machine should be carried out when it is completely stopped. 3.7. If there is a knock, vibration, change in the nature of the noise, overheating of the cutting tool, stop the machine and inform the master. 4. Safety requirements in emergency situations 4.1. Turn off equipment. 4.2. Post a table about the malfunction of the machine or equipment and report this to the direct management. 4.3. In the event of a fire or extinguishing a flame, use a nearby fire extinguisher. 4.4. The victim or bystander must notify the appropriate work manager of each accident or poisoning. 4.5. The worker must be able to provide first aid. Such assistance is provided immediately, directly at the scene and in the following sequence: first you need to eliminate the energy source of injury (switch off the engine, stop the mechanism, remove the victim from under the car, a heavy object, etc.). Assistance should begin with the most significant that threatens life or health (in case of severe bleeding, apply a tourniquet, and then bandage the wound; if a closed fracture is suspected, apply a splint; with open fractures, first bandage the wound and then apply a splint; in case of burns, apply a dry bandage ; in case of frostbite, gently rub the affected area using soft or fluffy tissues). If spinal injury is suspected, transport the victim only in the supine position on a rigid base. 4.6. After providing first aid, the victim should be sent to the nearest medical facility. 5. Safety requirements at the end of work 5.1. Turn off equipment. Wait for it to come to a complete stop. Tidy up the workplace: remove tools, fixtures; clean the machine from dirt and dust; wipe and lubricate the rubbing parts of the machine; neatly fold the finished parts and the remaining material. 5.2. Cleaning of wood waste (sawdust, shavings, dust) from the surface of the equipment, as well as from overalls, is carried out with a brush, sweep or using vacuum cleaners. It is unacceptable to blow the machine and clothes with compressed air. 5.3. Rags used during work and when cleaning, put the rags in a special metal box with a closing lid and take it outside the workshop to a specially designated place. 5.4.
