Safe Operation

1. General requirements for labor protection

The blowtorch is designed for soldering, thermal and other types of work that allow open heating. It must be kept in good working order, for this, with each use it is necessary to carry out its external inspection.

It is forbidden to use the lamp in case of detection of defects (cracks, deformations, sticking of the needle, etc.). It is forbidden to kindle a lamp doused with fuel, work in rooms that do not meet fire safety requirements and in rooms with insufficient ventilation. It is forbidden to smoke when disassembling, repairing and refueling the lamp into a bulb of an uncooled lamp, and also to leave it in working condition unattended.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

Before starting work with a blowtorch, you need to check:

  • whether the valve that regulates the fuel supply is completely turned out without loosening the pressure sleeve;
  • the density of the lamp reservoir for no leakage;
  • correct filling of the lamp reservoir;
  • filler plug tightness;
  • wrap the filler plug with at least four threads;
  • do not over-pump the blowtorch to avoid its explosion;
  • fill the lamp only with the flammable liquid for which it is intended.

3. Safety requirements during work

The workplace when performing soldering work must be cleaned of combustible materials, and combustible structures located at a distance of less than 5 m from it must be protected from fire with metal screens or poured with water. When working with open fire, fire extinguishers or boxes with dry sand should be placed near the place of work.

Do not refuel or pour fuel into the lamp, disassemble or repair the lamp, or smoke during operation. It is not allowed to use gasoline or a mixture of gasoline and kerosene as fuel for a kerosene lamp. Filling the recess in the upper part of the cylinder with fuel and setting it on fire must be done with extreme caution.

The flame of the blowtorch must be properly adjusted, avoid tilting the blowtorch and hitting it.

4. Safety requirements after work

After finishing work, to extinguish the lamp, it is necessary to wrap the needle clockwise until it stops.

Release the air pressure from the lamp reservoir through the fill plug only after the lamp has been extinguished and its burner has completely cooled down. With a dry rag, wipe the drips and residual fuel from the surface of the lamp.

Store the lamp in a dry place away from heating devices.

5. Safety requirements in emergency situations

If malfunctions are detected in the form of leakage of the blowtorch reservoir, its deformation, etc. work must be stopped and the lamp handed over for repair.

If pops occur from the burner, immediately close the valve for the intake of the combustible mixture and stop work.

To extinguish a flammable liquid on the floor, it is necessary to quickly cover the flame with sand, without leaving flames on the surface.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Schneider Merten D-Life switches with smartphone remote control 21.05.2017

Schneider Electric introduced the Merten D-Life range of circuit breakers. The novelty fundamentally changes the way lighting is controlled at home or in the office. Now you can connect to any switch using Bluetooth and configure its operation through the Wiser Room application, available in the AppStore and Google Play.

The switches are characterized by high quality, they are compatible with the entire Merten premium series in design, but they are distinguished by the possibility of simple and intuitive control via a mobile application. By connecting via Bluetooth, you can set the timer, turn the device on or off, dim the lights.

“The new Merten D-Life switches provide the easiest way to implement smart home technology. You can start simply with lighting control, without ordering expensive systems or hiring professional integrators,” said Philippe Delorme, Member of the Board, Executive Vice "In the near future we plan to introduce a whole series of new solutions that will help make every home or office more manageable, comfortable, energy efficient."

Even today, Merten D-Life switches support the PlusLink function for creating the simplest lighting and blind control systems. In addition, innovative KNX Multitouch and Push-button switches have been created for premium solutions in the Merten D-Life series, connected to the professional KNX smart home protocol. Together with smart meters, connected blinds, air conditioning and heating systems, these solutions form a single smart home ecosystem with the ability to control from a smartphone or tablet and minimal implementation costs.
