Frame and circular saws with cracks in the cavities or with broken three teeth or more than two teeth in a row, band saws with more than four cracks or at least one tooth missing are not allowed to work. With a smaller number of cracks, work is allowed subject to a decrease in speeds and in the presence of a fence. In this case, a hole must be drilled before the end of each crack.

Heavily worn tools cannot be used in work: frame saws with a width of less than 70 mm, band saws with a width of less than 50% of the initial one; planer knives less than 20 mm wide.

2.3. Before starting work on sharpening saws and chains, the sharpening machine must be tested at idle.

Abrasive wheels on grinding machines must be protected by sheet iron casings. Covers should be arranged so that only the part of the circle necessary for work remains open.

3.10. When installing gang saws, the frame in the upper position must be securely fixed with a brake.

3.11. For straightening and forging saws, it is necessary to use special anvils and a set of saw hammers with round longitudinal dies of a certain mass.

3.12. To protect the eyes of the grinder from abrasive dust, the grinding machine must be equipped with a transparent plastic visor. If there is no visor, you need to work in glasses made of unbreakable glass or plastic.

3.13. During work, it is necessary to monitor the cleanliness and order in the workplace, to prevent littering of aisles and driveways in the workshop with the remains of production and garbage.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Fabric with built-in heating 28.04.2002

The American company Maiden Mills presented a fabric equipped with a built-in heating system.

Polartec jackets and sheepskin coats made with it are quickly becoming popular with athletes and the military. Instead of traditional wires, stainless steel microfibers are woven into the fabric. These microfibers are thinner than a human hair. In terms of softness, they do not differ from ordinary threads and are not damaged during washing and wearing. Miracle jackets work in two modes: moderate, in which the fibers are able to heat up to a temperature of 42 ° C for 5 hours, and intensive, when clothes are heated to 2,5 ° C in 46 hours.

Maiden Mills plans to include heated gloves, air-conditioned clothing, as well as heart rate and body temperature indicators. The only problem at the moment is the fragility and bulkiness of lithium batteries used as batteries.
