Full document Occupational Safety and Health / Standard instructions for labor protection Safe Operation 1. General requirements for labor protection 1.1. This Instruction defines safe methods and techniques of work, as well as technical and organizational measures to ensure the safe operation of forced cooling installations for high-power amplifier lamps of wired broadcasting stations (UV-10, UPV-15, UO-30-50, ADS). 1.2. Workers who are at least 18 years old, who have passed a medical examination, been trained in safe work methods and passed exams, and have an electrical safety group of at least III are allowed to carry out routine preventive inspections and preventative repairs of cooling installations for high-power lamps. 1.3. Workers operating preventive cooling installations for high-power amplifier lamps of wired broadcasting stations are required to: 1.3.1. Comply with internal labor regulations. 1.3.2. Carry out only the work specified in this manual. 1.3.3. Know how to use personal protective equipment. 1.3.4. Be able to provide first aid to victims of electric current and other accidents. 1.3.5. In cases of injury, notify your immediate supervisor. 1.3.6. Notify the immediate supervisor of a malfunction of equipment and tools. 1.4. Work can be carried out according to order or order. Work performed according to work orders must be carried out by a team consisting of at least two people. Work performed by employees of other services (repair teams) is carried out only with a work permit. By order, work can be performed by one person with an electrical safety group of at least IV. 1.5. In accordance with the Standard Industry Standards for the free provision of special clothing, special shoes and other personal protective equipment to communication workers, workers must be provided with a cotton robe (GOST 11622-73) and cotton gloves (GOST 5007-63). 1.6. Employees must undergo training at the workplace, which is recorded in the training log. 1.7. When carrying out work, there may be a danger of touching moving parts of the unit, a danger of touching live parts of the electric motor windings. 1.8. It is prohibited to store devices, electric lamps and other parts that block passages and exits in ventilation chambers. 1.9. For failure to comply with this Instruction, the perpetrators are held liable in accordance with the internal labor regulations or penalties determined by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation (currently the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). 2. Labor protection requirements before starting work 2.1. Completely stop the electric motors by turning off the supply voltage using mechanical interlock switches and disconnectors, and take measures to prevent the supply of voltage to the place of work due to erroneous or spontaneous shutdown of the equipment. 2.2. On the switches and switches used to relieve voltage, hang prohibiting posters: “Do not turn on! People are working.” 2.3. Make sure the RMB is in the off position. 2.4. Make sure there is no voltage and hang up posters “Do not turn on! People are working”, install fences if necessary. 2.5. Wear overalls with sleeves pulled down and buttoned at the wrists and a hat. 2.6. Equip the workplace with convenient and safe tools with insulating handles. Check the serviceability of tools, devices and personal protective equipment (by external inspection) for damage and suitability according to the test stamp. 2.7. Check the grounding of the motor housing. 2.8. Check for the presence of dielectric carpets near the starting devices and the electric motor itself. 2.9. Reduce engine temperature to room temperature. 2.10. Permission to work is documented in the inspection and prevention log signed by the permitter and the work manufacturer. 3. Labor protection requirements during work 3.1. Perform only the work that is assigned and for which instructions were provided at the workplace. 3.2. Do not get distracted and do not distract your workmates. 3.3. Ventilation chambers, wells, etc. illuminate with portable electric lamps with a voltage not exceeding 42 V. 3.4. Do not start the motor without a protective cover. 3.5. It is prohibited to clean, wipe down or repair the electric motor while moving. 3.6. Disassembly of parts of the mechanical part of the cooling unit must be carried out using cotton gloves. 4. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations 4.1. Forced cooling units for high-power lamps must be turned off immediately in the following cases: a) an accident (or its threat); b) the appearance of smoke or fire from the electric motor or starting equipment; c) strong vibration that threatens the integrity of the electric motor; d) heating the electric motor housing above the permissible temperature specified in the manufacturer’s instructions; e) a significant decrease in rotation speed, accompanied by rapid heating of the electric motor housing. 4.2. If an accident occurs with a workmate, provide him with medical assistance, call an ambulance or take the victim to a medical center, inform management about the incident and, if this does not threaten other employees, maintain the situation in the workplace as it was at the time of the incident, until conducting an investigation. 5. Labor protection requirements at the end of work 5.1. Restore the scheme after completion of work, remove posters and fences. 5.2. Check that the direction of rotation of the electric motor is consistent with the arrow indicated on the unit and that there is no constant noise. 5.3. Collect tools and protective equipment and put them in the places designated for their storage. 5.4. Remove rags and rags in a lockable iron box. 5.5. Remove workplace. 5.6. Take off your overalls and hang them in the place designated for their storage. 5.7. Wash hands with warm water and soap. 5.8. When performing work according to a work order, the work foreman, after the team has withdrawn, signs the work order for completion of the work and hands it over to the operating personnel. 5.9.
