Safe Operation

1. General fire safety requirements

1.1. The territory of the institution must be kept clean at all times. Waste combustible materials, fallen leaves and dry grass should be regularly removed and removed from the territory.

1.2. Do not clutter up evacuation passages, vestibules and stairs with any equipment and objects.

1.3. During the period of stay in the building of the institution of people, close the doors of emergency exits only from the inside with the help of easy-to-open locks.

1.4. Doors (hatches) of attic and technical rooms must be permanently locked.

1.5. Fire hydrants must be equipped with sleeves and trunks placed in cabinets that are sealed. The fire hose must be attached to the faucet and barrel.

1.6. Checking the performance of fire hydrants of the internal fire water supply should be carried out at least twice a year (in spring and autumn) with rewinding linen sleeves to a new fold.

1.7. Fire automatics installations must be operated in automatic mode and be in working order around the clock.

1.8. Fire extinguishers should be placed in easily accessible places at a height of not more than 1,5 m, where their damage, direct sunlight, direct exposure to heating and heating devices is excluded.

1.9. Faulty electrical networks and electrical equipment should be immediately disconnected until they are brought into a fireproof state.

1.10. On each floor, a fire evacuation plan approved by the manager must be posted in a conspicuous place.

1.11. In the corridors and on the doors of the evacuation exits there must be prescriptive and indicative safety signs.

1.12. At the end of classes, employees of the institution should carefully inspect their assigned premises and close them by de-energizing the power grid.

2. It is forbidden:

2.1. Make fires, burn garbage on the territory of the institution.

2.2. Smoking in the premises of the institution. Dry clothes, arrange warehouses, archives, etc. in attic spaces.

2.4. To live in the building of the institution for service personnel and other persons.

2.5. Store flammable, combustible liquids and other flammable materials in the facility building.

2.6. Use combustible materials for walls and ceilings.

2.7. To remove the doors of vestibules, halls, corridors, vestibules and stairwells provided for by the project.

2.8. Nail down emergency exit doors.

2.9. Leave unattended electrical appliances connected to the network.

2.10. Use homemade and uncalibrated fuses ("bugs") as electrical protection.

2.11. Carry out fire, welding and other types of fire hazardous work in the building of the institution in the presence of people in the premises, as well as without a written order.

2.12. To clean the premises using gasoline, kerosene and other flammable and combustible liquids, as well as to thaw frozen pipes with blowtorches and other methods using open fire.

3. Actions in the event of a fire

3.1. Immediately report a fire to the nearest fire department by calling _______.

3.2. Immediately notify people about the fire and inform the head of the institution or his replacement employee.

3.3. Open all emergency exits and evacuate people from the building.

3.4. Remove the most valuable property and documents from the building.

3.5. When leaving a room or building, turn off the ventilation, close all doors and windows behind you to prevent the spread of fire and smoke into adjacent rooms.

3.6. By the forces of the voluntary fire brigade, start extinguishing the fire and its localization with the help of primary fire extinguishing equipment.

3.7. Turn off the power grid and ensure the safety of people involved in the evacuation and fire fighting from possible collapse of structures, exposure to toxic combustion products and elevated temperature, and electric shock.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Stainless super steel for hydrogen production 24.11.2023

A research project led by Professor Mingxin Huang from the University of Hong Kong has made significant progress in the field of stainless steels with the development of a specialized steel for hydrogen production (SS-H2). This milestone marks a new achievement for Professor Huang's team, following the creation of stainless steel to protect against COVID-19 in 2021 and ultra-strong super steel in 2017 and 2020.

Professor Huang's research has led to the creation of innovative stainless steel, opening up new prospects in the production of green hydrogen. This breakthrough promises to reduce material costs in electrolysis systems, making it a key component for future sustainable hydrogen production.

The new material proposed by the research team has high corrosion resistance, which opens up prospects for its use in the production of green hydrogen from seawater. The performance of the new steel in a salt water electrolyser is comparable to current industrial practice using titanium to create structural elements in the production of hydrogen from desalinated seawater or acid, while the new steel is significantly more affordable.

Stainless steel, with its characteristic chromium content, plays an important role in corrosion resistance. However, traditional methods face limitations such as transpassive corrosion at higher potentials. Using a "sequential double passivation" strategy, Professor Huang's team developed SS-H2 to overcome these limitations. This innovation allows steel to be used more economically, replacing expensive components in water electrolysis systems.

From the first stages of the material's discovery to its transition to industrial use, the team invested nearly six years in working on this project. This breakthrough provides the opportunity to replace expensive components in electrolysis systems with more economical steel, which can significantly reduce the cost of structural materials. The application of SS-H2 represents a significant step forward in the industrial use of advanced technologies.
