Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Male and female persons who have reached the age of 18 and have passed:

1.1.1. special training and education of labor safety;

1.1.2. medical examination and admitted for health reasons to work;

1.1.3. introductory briefing and primary briefing at the workplace;

1.1.4. examination of knowledge in the volume of group I on electrical safety.

1.2. The employee is obliged:

1.2.1. observe the rules of internal labor regulations;

1.2.2. do not smoke, do not drink alcohol in the workplace;

1.2.3. perform work in overalls (sanitary clothing) in accordance with established standards.

1.3. The employee must:

1.3.1. be able to provide first (pre-medical) aid to the victim in case of accidents. Know where the first-aid kit with a set of medicines is located, and, if necessary, ensure the delivery (escort) of the victim to a medical institution;

1.3.2. observe the rules of sanitary and personal hygiene;

1.3.3. do not eat at the workplace.

1.4. The employee may be exposed to dangerous and harmful production factors:

1.4.1. increased air movement;

1.4.2. increased voltage in the electrical circuit;

1.4.3. insufficient illumination of the working area;

1.4.4. reduced contrast;

1.4.5. direct and reflected brilliance;

1.4.6. harmful substances in the air of the working area.

1.5. The employee bears personal responsibility for violation of the requirements of the Instruction in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Prepare the workplace for safe work and check the serviceability and stability of the cash register, swivel chair, the serviceability of the electrical plug, power cord, grounding (zeroing) of the cash register.

2.2. Make sure that the emergency lighting and the security call device (administration) are working properly.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Observe the rules for operating the cash register.

3.2. Disconnect the cash register from the electrical network in case of sudden stoppage before the end of the working cycle or other stop for an unknown reason, insulation breakdown on the case of the cash register.

3.3. Persons who are unfamiliar with the rules of work on the device should not be allowed to work on the cash register.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. Immediately stop work in the event of situations that may lead to an accident or accidents:

4.1.1. Turn off the equipment in use, stop working.

4.1.2. When a fire or ignition is detected, the employee must:

immediately report this to the city fire department by calling 101, indicating the address of the facility and what is on fire, and to the head of the facility;
take measures to ensure the safety and evacuation of people;
start extinguishing the fire using the primary fire extinguishing equipment available at the facility;
upon arrival of the fire service units, inform them of the necessary information about the source of the fire and the measures taken to eliminate it;
for the period of extinguishing the fire, the employee must provide security in order to prevent theft of material assets.

4.2. Provide the necessary first aid to the victim at work, freeing him from the impact of a traumatic factor (electric current, mechanisms, etc.).

4.3. In case of injury at work, immediately contact a medical institution and report the incident to the immediate supervisor, keep the workplace unchanged at the time of injury, if this does not endanger others.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. When you have finished working on the cash register, turn off the power by removing the plug from the power outlet.

5.2. Carry out overhaul maintenance of the device and prepare it for the next working day in accordance with the requirements of the operating manual for this type of cash registers.
