I. General Provisions

The merchandiser belongs to the category of specialists.
For the position:

a commodity expert is appointed by a person who has a higher professional education without presenting requirements for work experience or secondary vocational education and work experience in positions filled by specialists with secondary vocational education for at least 3 years;
merchandising specialist of category II - a person who has a higher professional education and work experience as a merchandising specialist for at least 3 years;
Commodity expert of category I - a person who has a higher professional education and work experience as a commodity expert of category II for at least 3 years.

Appointment to the position of commodity expert and dismissal from it is made by order of the director of the enterprise upon presentation.
The merchant must know:

resolutions, orders, orders, other governing and regulatory documents of higher authorities relating to logistics and sales of goods at trade enterprises.
market methods of management.
standards and technical specifications for goods, their main properties and quality characteristics.
procedure for concluding business contracts.
methods of accounting for goods, calculating the need for them.
forms of accounting documents and the procedure for compiling reports.
organization of warehousing and marketing of goods.
terms of delivery, storage and transportation of goods.
instructions for receiving goods in terms of quality, quantity and completeness.
current price tags and price lists.
stock standards.
nomenclature and assortment of goods sold by the enterprise.
fundamentals of economics, labor organization and management.
labor legislation.
internal labor regulations.
rules and norms of labor protection, safety measures, industrial sanitation and fire protection.

During the absence of a commodity expert (business trip, vacation, illness, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed in the prescribed manner. This person acquires the corresponding rights and is responsible for the proper performance of the duties assigned to him.

II. Official duties

Commodity expert:

Determines requirements for goods, as well as compliance of their quality with standards, technical specifications, concluded contracts and other regulatory documents.
Monitors the fulfillment of contractual obligations, receipt and sale of goods.
Participates in the preparation of data for drawing up claims for the supply of low-quality goods and responding to customer complaints.
Controls the availability of goods in warehouses.
Communicates with suppliers and consumers and prepares documents for the shipment and receipt of goods in accordance with approved plans.
Participates in the development and implementation of rules for logistics, sales, quality control of goods, organization of their transportation and storage.
Maintains records of receipts and sales of goods.
Controls the timeliness of the shipment of returnable packaging.
In necessary cases, conducts a search for non-arrived goods.
Participates in conducting inventories, studies the reasons for the formation of excessive excess material resources and “illiquid assets,” and takes measures to implement them.
Monitors compliance with the rules for storing goods in warehouses and preparing goods for sale.
Draws up the necessary documents related to the supply and sale of products, compiles reports according to established forms.

III. Rights

The merchant has the right:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise regarding its activities.
Submit proposals for improvement of the work related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management.
Within the limits of his competence, report to his immediate supervisor about all the shortcomings identified in the course of his activities and make proposals for their elimination.
Request personally or on behalf of the management of the enterprise from the heads of departments and specialists information and documents necessary for the performance of his duties.
Involve specialists from all (individual) structural divisions in solving the tasks assigned to him (if this is provided for by the regulations on structural divisions, if not, then with the permission of the management).
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of his duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The merchant is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.

Synthesized a new type of antibiotic to fight superbugs 25.03.2018

The struggle of scientists against superviruses and superbugs continues - today another significant breakthrough in this area has been made, providing specialists with a lot of food for thought and a lot of material for study. The fact is that a talented team of microbiologists from the University of Lincoln, UK, managed to synthesize a new type of antibiotic that can effectively fight superbugs, being introduced as the basis for modern-class antiviral drugs.

The preliminary results obtained by specialists cannot but surprise, since they managed to defeat one such superbug in experimental mice.

This antibiotic is, at its core, a chemically measured "version" of a natural antibiotic called teixoblastin, discovered by American researchers in 2015 - it is known that its properties allow it to effectively fight viruses such as MRSA and VRE. Scientists from Lincoln University were able to synthesize a simpler form of this natural antibiotic by working with a change in the location of key amino acids in its structure - thus, they were able to obtain several strains of this antibiotic at once.

Further, their colleagues from the Singapore Eye Research Institute used one of the strains to try to treat some superbug in experimental rats - and they succeeded. But in addition to its primary function of treating and eliminating superbugs, this modified antibiotic also significantly prevents the further growth of such bacteria, creating a special environment in the human body.
