I. General Provisions

The editor-announcer of the news of the radio station belongs to the category of specialists, is accepted and dismissed by the director on the proposal of the program director of the radio station after agreeing with the technical service on the issues of professional suitability of the candidate.
A person with a higher education, special training and experience in this field is accepted for the position of news editor-announcer of the radio station.
The news editor-announcer of the radio station reports directly to the program director of the radio station.
The criteria for evaluating the activities of the editor-announcer of the news of the radio station are:

compliance with methodological and regulatory standards for the operation of radio equipment;
timely preparation of news releases;
quality and professional news releases and live broadcasts;
the absence of claims from the management and employees of the radio station related to the activities of the editor-announcer of the news.

During the absence of the editor-announcer of the news of the radio station (illness, vacation, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed by order of the director. The person acquires the relevant rights and is responsible for the quality and timely performance of the duties assigned to him.
The news editor-announcer of the radio station is obliged to:

know the legislation of Ukraine;
know to comply with the rules and regulations of labor protection, safety, industrial sanitation and fire protection;
know the methodological and regulatory materials on the work performed;
know the best domestic and foreign experience in this specialty;
know the prospects for the technical and creative development of the radio station;
know the rules and procedures for the operation of broadcasting equipment;
know the equipment used in radio broadcasting.

II. Official duties

Broadcast news releases.
Conduct informational, live or recorded programs.
To exercise control, and, if necessary, make an independent decision on the exact release of news releases, coordinating the decision with the program director of the radio station.
Read live advertisements (billboards).
Record if necessary.
Control and be responsible for the quality of the radio broadcast.
To control the serviceability of the equipment of the on-air studio. Report all malfunctions and deviations from the established norms in the operation of the operated equipment to the technical director or program director of the radio station.
Other duties in accordance with the operational need at the direction of the director or program director of the radio station.

III. Rights

The news editor-announcer of the radio station has the right to:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the radio station management regarding its activities.
To make proposals for improving their activities related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction.
Request personally or on behalf of the management of the radio station from the departments of _______ and other specialists information and documents necessary for the performance of their duties.
Require the management of the radio station to create the necessary conditions for the implementation of their duties.

IV. A responsibility

The editor-announcer of the news programs of the radio station is responsible for:

The quality of the produced product.
Absence of grammatical, spelling, syntactic, stylistic and historical errors.
Compliance of ideas and descriptions with the current legislation of Ukraine (Law "On Advertising").
For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation.
