The names of countries can differ radically in different languages, and Germany can be considered the leader in this indicator. In Russian, English and several other languages, this name comes from the Latin words for "man" and "spear". In French, Spanish, a large group of Turkic languages, this country bears the name Alemannia from the Alemannic tribe, with whom those peoples encountered more often than other Germanic tribes.
