What was the largest eruption in history?

Answering this question, we must emphasize that we are talking about a known history, that is, one about which there is information in the sources. In prehistoric times and during the formation of the Earth's surface, there must have been eruptions and earthquakes of terrible force. But, as far as we know from sources, the largest eruption was in 1883 on the volcanic island of Krakatoa in the Dutch Indies (Republic of Indonesia). The most powerful series of volcanic explosions occurred on August 27 of that year.

Let's see what some of the consequences of this incredible explosion were. First of all, the entire northern part of the island and its lower parts simply disappeared! Before the explosion, the area of ​​the island was 18 square miles, and its height above sea level ranged from 91 to 4250 meters. After the explosion, a hole was formed at the bottom of the ocean, which was 300 meters below the water level! Columns of stones, dust and ash rose up to 17 miles into the air, and when all this began to dissipate, everything within a radius of 150 miles was plunged into darkness in broad daylight! The sound of these volcanic explosions was heard over a vast area. It was indeed the longest distance ever traveled by sound - 3000 miles!

The most severe destruction was probably associated with the waves in the ocean that rose as a result of this monstrous explosion. The largest wave reached a height of 15 meters, it demolished entire villages and became the culprit in the death of 36 people. In addition, these waves traveled enormous distances and perhaps even reached the English Channel, located 000 miles away. By the way, the Krakatau volcano came to life even in 11000, but, fortunately, this time there was no big volcanic explosion.

Huawei has unveiled Huawei 5G Mobile WiFi, a mobile WiFi router with a built-in 5G modem that can also act as a power bank for other mobile devices.
