Learning outside of school is more useful

Researcher Sue Waite from the University of Plymouth (UK) found that outdoor learning outside the school building can have a significant positive impact on the quality of life of schoolchildren. However, for this, as the author says, such a practice should be implemented systematically in global school education.

Sue White argues that there are many benefits to teaching children outside of school. They concern both health and behavior, social skills, perseverance, self-confidence and a sense of boundaries.

The researcher notes that today, in an era of busy schoolchildren, busy lifestyles in the family, increased anxiety in society, because of which children cannot play freely, the ability to interact more actively among peers can have long-term positive effects.

The report proposes that the UK government, based on research findings, adopt outdoor learning as an integral part of the national education policy.

In total, there have been five significant projects in the UK and abroad over the past ten years. Their results all speak in favor of natural education for children, and at the same time they show that formalized education in schools harms the child.
