Focus Description:

On the magician's table is an ordinary shoe box. The magician lifts the box and shows that it is empty inside, and there is nothing on the outside on all sides. Putting the box on the table, the magician removes the lid from it and shows both sides of it.

Everyone was convinced that in front of them was nothing more than an ordinary empty shoe box. Having closed the box with a lid, the magician raises the box in front of the audience. Having raised it, the magician puts his hand into the box and takes out a pigeon or other creature of the appropriate size, to the general delight of the hall.

Focus secret:

Here's a simple but effective way to arrange for a live pigeon or rabbit or other animal of the same size to appear out of nowhere. For the trick you will need: a shoe box, a black flannel, a table and, of course, a dove that will appear from the box.

A. First of all, you need to sew a bag of strong black flannel. Let's say you use a standard 30 x 15 x 2 cm boot box with a lid. In this case, the bag should measure 8 x 4 inches (20 x 10 cm). Cut the flannel into an 8-inch (20 cm) square and fold it in half. Sew the side edges, getting a bag of the above sizes, open at the top. Sew a fastener (button) in the center of the open side. A pigeon can easily be placed in such a bag.

C. Cut a piece of strong transparent fishing line, sew the sidewall of the shoe box lid with it, and attach the upper corners of the bag to the lid with it.

C. You will determine the exact length of the fishing line yourself. Attach the bag to the center of the box lid.

D. After making the lid with the pouch, carefully place the pigeon into the pouch and close it at the top. Then place the lid on the edge of the table, with the inside of the lid facing up. The dove bag should hang on the side, below the level of the table, as shown in the picture. Place an empty shoebox in front of the lid and you're done.

1. You will begin by holding up and displaying an empty shoe box from all angles. Make sure every viewer is able to look into it and make sure it's empty.

2. Place the box on the table and take the lid. It should be rotated to a vertical position before you tear it off the table. The dove bag will rise with the lid, but the audience will not see it, because it will be behind the lid.

3. When showing the inside of the lid to the public, lower it directly in front of the box while tucking the concealed pouch into the box. Immediately put the lid on edge on the box.

4. Release the lid and show that your hands are empty. Then lift the lid just enough to completely flip the lid over and cover the box. Be careful: when you turn the lid over, you cannot lift it too high, otherwise the bag with the dove will rise from the box with it and the public will see it.

5. Now lift the box closed with the lid and show it from all sides. Then place the box back on the table and lift the back of the lid with your left hand. Unfasten the clasp with your right hand, open the bag and take the dove from it.

The above device principles are suitable for a box of any size. The bag, of course, should correspond in size to the lid behind which it is hidden.

Rehearse the trick in front of a mirror to determine what angles the props should be held at. Also, if you start! procedure from the end and bring it to the beginning, then you will get a great trick with the disappearance.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Eyes control emotions 06.08.2012

Neuroscientists at Australia's Monash University have discovered a region of the brain that specializes in peripheral vision and simultaneously controls emotional response. This discovery can be used to treat panic disorders, such as fear of open spaces, as well as Alzheimer's disease.

It turns out that a primitive brain region known as the prostriata not only specializes in detecting fast-moving objects in the peripheral rhenium field, but, unlike any other "visual" brain region, controls emotions and immediate reactions. At the moment of a panic attack, for example, when a person suffers from agoraphobia or claustrophobia (fear of open and, accordingly, closed spaces), this area of the brain becomes hyperactive. This points to its direct association with common panic disorders.

Moreover, previous research indicates that the prostriata is one of the first areas of the brain to be affected in Alzheimer's disease. This explains spatial disorientation and a tendency to fall, which are among the first signs of problems associated with Alzheimer's disease.

Thus, scientists were able to discover a specialized information processing circuit in the brain. With its help, the brain receives signals from peripheral vision and coordinates physical and emotional reactions very quickly. It is this area of the brain that can instantly change our mood, reacting to visual stimuli. Prostriata is "broadcasting" to other areas of the brain that control attention, emotional and motor response.

This discovery changes the current understanding of how the brain processes visual information, and also explains the influence of our primitive, ancient instincts on the behavior and emotional perception of the world.
