Workers who are at least 18 years old, who have passed a medical examination, are trained and certified in the prescribed manner, and who have received on-the-job training are allowed to work at the sawmill. 1.2. The workers serving the sawmill must know and observe:

Frames with a continuous feed mechanism must be equipped with a remote feed switch. 1.5. On four roller sawmill frames, sawing logs no shorter than 3 m is allowed. For sawing short logs, additional rollers or other devices must be installed to prevent the tossing of the sawn logs. Sawing of ridges shorter than 1,5 m should be carried out only on special eight-roller frames. Sawing ridges and beams shorter than 0,8 m is not allowed. 1.6. The sawmill frame brake must provide trouble-free braking in any position of the sawmill. 1.7. The front gate of the sawmill frame must be interlocked with the starting device so that starting the frame is impossible if there is a gap of more than 100 mm between the gate that is not completely closed and its frame. 1.8. Each two-story sawmill frame must be equipped with a two-way light and sound alarm, the design of which would provide an automatic response in cases where there are no people below in the danger zone. 1.9. The upper front delivery roller of the sawmill frame must be guarded so that there is a gap of no more than 3 cm between the fence and the log or block being cut. 1.10. The openings between the gates and frames of sawmill frames, as well as openings in the gates and machines themselves, through which pieces of wood and fragments of broken saws can be thrown out by the saw frame, or through which accidental contact with moving parts is possible, must be securely covered with sheet steel or gratings like blinds. For ease of maintenance, the sawmill frame must have doors that open and close tightly in the required places around the opening fencing. 1.11. The hole in the floor for connecting rods, parts of the feed mechanism and control levers must be covered with sheet steel at least 5 mm thick with cutouts of the appropriate configuration. 1.12. To prevent the tossing of slabs and side boards at the end of sawing logs behind the sawmill frame, special pneumatic and hydraulic devices and other devices must be used. 1.13. Between the rails of the frame tracks there must be a flooring under the face with the head of the rails, leaving grooves for the ribs of the frame trolley wheels. From the outside, from the level of the rail head to the floor, a boardwalk ramp should be laid. 1.14. Wheels of frame carts must have guards. The distance between the lower edge of the wheel guard and the rail should not exceed 3mm. 1.15. A gap of more than 100 mm between the floor and the lower falling roller of the sawmill frame must be covered with a grate through which sawdust and bark can pass. 2. Labor protection requirements before starting work 2.1. Wear appropriate clothing according to the rules. 2.2. Check the presence of fences, the condition of the sawmill frame brake, interlocks, sound and light alarms. 2.3. Clean the work area and walkways around the sawmill. 2.4. Check the operation of the sawmill at idle. 3. Labor protection requirements during work 3.1. During work, the worker must ensure that the sawmill is in good condition. 3.2. Logs with cross cuts, rot, as well as frozen and icy logs should not be sawed on sawmill frames. 4. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations 4.1. If any malfunctions are detected, you must immediately stop work and report it to the work manager. 4.2. The frame worker must stop work in case of heavy snowfall, thunderstorm. 4.3. If injured, go to a medical center or call an ambulance. Notify the work manager. 4.4.
