I. General Provisions

The administrator of the hall belongs to the category of specialists.
A person who has a secondary vocational education without requirements for work experience or primary vocational education and work experience in a specialty in the public catering system of at least 2 years is appointed to the position of hall administrator.
Appointment to the position of hall administrator and dismissal from it is made by order of the director of the enterprise upon the recommendation of _______. (restaurant director; other official)
The hall administrator must know:

resolutions, orders, orders, other governing and regulatory documents of higher and other bodies relating to the organization of public catering;
rules for the production and sale of products (services) of public catering;
organization of production and management of a public catering enterprise, tasks and functions of its divisions;
rules and methods of organizing the process of serving visitors;
the range of services offered;
basics of marketing;
catering economics;
pricing procedure;
principles of planning and design of premises, shop windows, organization of advertising;
fundamentals of aesthetics, ethics, psychology and customer service;
advanced domestic and foreign experience in organizing public catering and customer service;
the rights and obligations of employees of the enterprise and the mode of their work;
organization of payment and stimulation of labor;
labor legislation;
rules of internal labor regulations;
rules and regulations of labor protection.

The administrator of the hall reports to _______ (director of the restaurant; other official).
During the absence of the hall administrator (vacation, illness, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed by order of the director of the organization. This person acquires the corresponding rights and is responsible for the proper performance of the duties assigned to him.

II. Official duties

Hall manager:

Provides effective and cultural service to restaurant visitors, creating comfortable conditions for them.
Consults visitors on the provision of services and ensures that they are familiar with the range of available dishes and drinks.
Controls the rational design of the hall, bar counters, shop windows, etc.
Ensures cleanliness and order in the room.
Controls the reception of orders by waiters from visitors.
Checks issued invoices and makes settlements with visitors.
Takes measures to prevent and eliminate conflict situations.
Examines claims related to unsatisfactory customer service and takes appropriate organizational and technical measures.
Accepts orders and develops plans for holding and servicing anniversary celebrations, weddings, and banquets.
Monitors compliance by employees of the organization with labor and production discipline, rules and regulations of labor protection, safety precautions, industrial sanitation and hygiene requirements.
Informs the management of the organization about the existing shortcomings in servicing visitors, takes measures to eliminate them.
Monitors employees' compliance with instructions from the organization's management.
Performs individual official assignments of his immediate supervisor.

III. Rights

The hall administrator has the right to:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise relating to its activities.
Submit proposals for improvement of the work related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management.
Within your competence, report (to the director of the restaurant; other official) about all shortcomings identified in the performance of official duties in the activities of the enterprise (its structural divisions) and make proposals for their elimination.
Involve specialists from all (individual) structural divisions in solving the tasks assigned to him (if this is provided for by the regulations on structural divisions, if not, then with the permission of the management).
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The hall manager is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.

Molecules stopped at absolute zero temperature 09.04.2020

A group of US physicists have cooled sodium-lithium molecules to a temperature of 220 nanokelvins by colliding with ultracold sodium atoms.

Evaporative cooling is used both to lower our body temperature when we sweat, and to cool rooms and appliances. The nature of this phenomenon is that the hot particles of the cooled system collide with coolant particles, transferring their momentum to them, and the latter, in turn, leave the system.

In atomic physics, evaporative cooling is used to reduce the energy of vibrations of an ensemble of atoms. The technology uses an electromagnetic field to trap atoms in an optical trap. Over time, the atoms collide with each other and some of them become more mobile than others. Such high-energy atoms leave the trap, thereby lowering the energy of the entire system and lowering the temperature of the remaining atoms.

Cooled quantum systems can be used as a simulator of various systems of condensed matter physics or nuclear physics. However, individual atoms have too few degrees of freedom, which limits the capabilities of the simulator. Over the past 15 years, serious progress has been made in cooling more complex objects such as molecules, but, unfortunately, the temperatures achieved have so far been limited to tens of millikelvins.

Physicists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, led by Professor Alan Jamison, have for the first time managed to cool an ensemble of molecules by evaporative cooling to a temperature of 220 nanokelvins. To do this, the scientists placed 30 NaLi molecules and 100 sodium atoms in an optical trap in which the particles were held by an electromagnetic field.
