Focus Description:

In your hand is a nickel-plated vase in which a fire burns. Take the lid with your other hand and cover the vase with it. Immediately remove the lid again - there is no more fire, and the vase turned out to be filled to the top with flowers.

Focus Magic fire

Focus secret:

The secret of the trick lies in the lid that covers the vase (in the middle with a diameter of 18-20 cm and a height of 4-5 cm), made of copper, and in folding paper flowers. In the figure, in addition to the vase, a nickel-plated circle with a rim is shown, which should fit snugly on the rim of the vase.

A wire ring is soldered in the middle of the circle for attaching flowers. On this circle, with its lower side, a nickel-plated figured cover with a handle at the top should be tightly located. Inside the lid there is another lid extruded exactly in shape, but without a lower rim.

It is very similar to the first one. A threaded rod is soldered to this secret cover. A spring is put on it, and a massive cap is screwed on top, which has an internal thread for this.

The lid assembled in this way from five parts can be put on the circle. Both covers must fit snugly together. If you take the handle and press the cap, it will press the spring and push the secret cover away from the outer cover with a rod. Holding the lid by the handle, place the circle inside the lid and cover the vase with it.

If you immediately press on the cap, the inner lid will squeeze out the circle and it will remain put on the vase, and this lid will again be pressed tightly under the influence of the spring. The lid is adjusted so that the circle fits snugly inside the rim of the vase and holds firmly there without falling out. When you press the secret lid on it, the circle should easily fall into the vase.

Folding paper flowers, if carefully made, are elegant and compact. When folded, 20-25 of these flowers take up very little space (height is only 15 mm).

When you open them, they form a beautiful bouquet tied to a circle ring. Folding flowers are made from multi-colored, thin floral paper. The figure shows a pattern for a flower. Having made 20-25 such flowers, they are folded into a pack, which is tightly wrapped with a narrow paper strip and sealed.

Having connected the threads together, they are tied with a loop and fastened with a safety pin to a wire circle soldered on the circle. Putting a pack of flowers on a circle, cover them with a lid and carefully remove the glued strip. Holding the pack with your hand, close the lid tightly. The circle will fit snugly into the lid with the sides.

If you put a lid with flowers inside on a vase, the circle will sit tightly on its edges. As soon as you press the cap, the lid will “give up” a circle with flowers, and under the action of the springs they will spread magnificently over the vase. Pour 2-3 g of pure gasoline and about 25 g of water into a vase.

Gasoline will flare up as soon as you set it on fire with a lighter. After showing the audience a vase in which a fire is burning, take the lid, cover the vase with it and, pressing the cap, remove the lid. The whole vase will be filled with flowers.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Paper airplane with laser engine 06.10.2002

In the laboratory of Japanese physicist Takashi Yabe, an airplane cut out of aluminum foil was tested, flying on laser energy.

A capsule with water or a special polymer is placed on the tail of the airplane and a beam is directed at it. Evaporating, the substance creates jet thrust. A speed of 1,4 meters per second has been reached.

So far it's a toy, but Professor Yabe believes that in the future, larger devices will be able to fly on the same principle, for example, to take air samples at high altitudes.
