Focus Description:

You will need twelve coins, from which the middle has been cut out and only one metal rim remains. A real coin is placed on these coins, and they are all connected by a spring that runs inside through the entire column.

When the coins are placed on the table and the whole coin is on top, they all look like a column of ordinary coins, which is helped by metal rims.

You will need a small leather cap (shaped like a truncated cone with a small button on the top and of such a size that it can be worn on a column of coins) and an ordinary dice.

You draw the audience's attention to your magic cap and bone. You ask someone in the audience to lend you half a dozen coins (of course, the number of them must match the number in your column), and while they are being collected, you take the opportunity to put a small hat on the column you have prepared, which should be at your fingertips for what some small object on the table so that the audience cannot see it.

Squeezing the cap from the sides, you raise a column with it and put everything together in front of the audience next to the dice.

When the required coins have been collected, you ask everyone to notice that you are putting a leather cap (which the audience assumes is empty) over the die. Taking the coins in your hand, you pretend that you transfer them to the other hand with one of the tricks.

Holding the hand that the spectators now assume contains the coins directly above the hat, you announce that they will, at your command, pass under the hat, from which the die disappears to make room for them.

By saying "one, two, three, pass," you open your hand and show that the coins are gone. If you are using a special table, you can place them on it, and by showing that both hands are empty, and by lifting the cap by the button, you show the seemingly real carved coins that cover the dice.

Covering the post again with a hat, you announce that you will again take out the coins and place a dice in their place, and to make the trick even more unusual, this time you will pass the coins directly through the table.

Putting the hand holding real coins under the table and saying again: "one, two, three, pass," you jingle the coins and, picking them up, put them on the table. Raising the hat again, but this time squeezing its sides, you raise the whole column with it and show the dice.

Quickly transfer the cap without the column to the other hand and place it on the examination table while you clear the prepared coin column.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Smart watch from Samsung 21.03.2013

Samsung is developing watches that can perform the same tasks as smartphones. Lee Young Hee, executive vice president of Samsung's mobile division, spoke about the device in an interview with Bloomberg.

"We are working on future products," said Lee Yong Hee, "and the watch will definitely be one of them." What exactly the device will be able to do when it goes on sale and how much it will cost, she did not specify.

The first rumors about the new "smart watch" Samsung appeared in February 2013. Then it was reported that they will run Android OS and will be called Galaxy Altius. In the same month, unofficial sources said that Apple is also preparing to release a watch that replaces a smartphone. The device, codenamed iWatch, will allegedly allow the user to make calls and check maps, and will also be able to act as a pedometer and heart rate sensor.

Samsung has released wristwatches in the past, combined with the phone. The device was called the SPH-WP10 and was released in 1999. The SPH-WP10 is considered the world's first "watch phone". Ten years later, a South Korean company introduced the S9110, a touch-screen watch phone with Bluetooth. The thickness of the body of the device was a record 2009 mm for 12.

Apple and Samsung are the main competitors in the smartphone market, while Samsung retains its title as the world's largest handset maker. Apple's mobile devices run on iOS, while Samsung's main operating system is Android.
