The last decade is characterized by a significant increase in the intensity of both on-air and cable broadcasting. TV viewers, for one reason or another, operating television receivers of outdated models, have problems with reception: six or eight buttons on TVs equipped with program selection devices or touch control devices (SVP 4, SVP 4-1, SVP 4-5, SVP 4- 6, SVP-403, MVI-2, UVP-1-1, USU-U-75, etc.), cannot provide the ability to switch all the necessary programs.

There are several ways to solve the above problem.:

1) purchase of a new modern television receiver,

2) using the TV program selection block of the VCR (provided that it exists),

3) replacement of an obsolete device for selecting programs such as SVP, MVP, UVP, USU, MU-48 and others with a TV control module of the 5th (6th) generation,

4) revision of the outdated program selection device in such a way as to increase the number of switched TV programs

The first two ways to solve the problem will require material costs, the third way for most viewers can be considered optimal. However, the possibility of improving the existing program selection device should not be discounted, especially if the number of television broadcasting programs in the region does not exceed 12,16 and minimal financial costs are preferred.

It is proposed to improve the television set "Orizon" (51ТЦ-449D), which makes it possible to double the number of received TV programs with minimal changes in the standard program selection device. A fragment of the refinement scheme is shown in fig. 1. The tuning potentiometer block MN-4P additionally includes a block of tuning potentiometers, eight decoupling diodes and a multi-position switch. . Decoupling diodes VD411-11 VD P -42 eliminate the mutual influence of variable resistors Multi-position switch SA3 allows switching between the main and additional blocks of tuning potentiometers.

It should be noted that the proposed circuit design can be used to refine other TV models of the ZUSST and 4USST classes. As an example, in fig. 2 shows a diagram of the refinement of the UVP-1-1 program selection device, which is part of the Foton 51TC-404DShI TVs.

An easy way to increase the number of TV programs received

Diodes VD3-1, VD11-1 are conveniently placed directly on the resistor assembly RP, soldering them to the corresponding terminals of the moving contacts of the potentiometers. The resistor assembly should be mounted on the board of the MH-411 module, and the switch should be fixed in any place convenient for installation and control.

Electrical connections are preferably made with a ribbon cable or single conductors bundled. This solution is simple, but has some minor drawbacks.

Switching SA1 has to be done manually, and the ability to tune to 16 channels does not suit everyone. These operational inconveniences pay off with simplicity and low cost and time to complete the revision.

Computer games are becoming an increasingly popular form of entertainment among teenagers, but the associated risk of gaming addiction remains a significant problem. American scientists conducted a study to determine the main factors contributing to this addiction and offer recommendations for its prevention. Over the course of six years, 385 teenagers were followed to find out what factors may predispose them to gambling addiction. The results showed that 90% of study participants were not at risk of addiction, while 10% became gambling addicts. It turned out that the key factor in the onset of gambling addiction is a low level of prosocial behavior. XSPC TX Series Ultra-thin Heatsinks 05.08.2018

XSPC has announced the ultra-thin TX series radiators designed for liquid cooling systems. Their thickness is 20,5 mm. According to the manufacturer, these are the world's thinnest heatsinks available for LSS personal computers.

The series includes models in sizes 120 mm, 240 mm, 360 mm and 480 mm. Under the condition of installing fans with a thickness of 15 mm, the total thickness of the structure is 35,5 mm. For comparison, XSPC EX heatsinks without fans have about the same thickness.

Small thickness can be useful when installing LSS in a small-sized computer.

Radiator materials are copper and brass. The density is 8,7 ribs per centimeter of length.
