When we encountered a malfunction of a device assembled on the basis of KR580 series microcircuits, it was necessary to identify the faulty microcircuit from the set without unsoldering them from the board. The way out was found quite simple.

Let's assume that the microprocessor KR580IK80A was the first to be "under suspicion". We cut the printed conductors on the board, corresponding to its +5 V, +12 V and Common supply terminals, near the solder points.

We soldered a piece of hard insulated wire 40 ... 50 mm long to the outputs of a known-good specimen, similarly to a microprocessor, and, having tinned the free ends, soldered them to the same-named outputs of the "suspicious" microprocessor, except for the indicated power outputs. Power was supplied to a working microcircuit by soldering the remaining three leads to the printed conductors of the board from the outside of their cut points.

By this, we have transferred the "suspicious" microprocessor to the third - high-impedance - state, and its functions will now be performed by a serviceable one. It remains to turn on the device and test it with a special program. If the test result is positive, then the "suspicious" microprocessor can be considered faulty. After replacing a faulty chip, do not forget to repair the cut conductors of the board.

Note that the described method cannot be used to check microcircuits that do not have a third state, such as, for example, KR580VI53, KR580GF24.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Aquariums soothe 14.08.2015

Some people claim that contemplation of aquarium fish helps them calm down and makes them feel better. Well, now the calming effect of aquariums has been experimentally confirmed.

Deborah Cracknell of the University of Plymouth and her colleagues measured the heart rate and blood pressure of people who came to admire the 550-liter aquarium, which gradually introduced new species of fish. As the researchers assure, both physiological parameters decreased, that is, both pressure and heart rate fell, and, in addition, the mood and attention of the participants in the experiment increased. Moreover, the positive effect was the stronger, the more fish were in the aquarium.

It is known that trips out of town have a calming effect on our psyche and physiology, but almost no one has tried to find out how we are affected, so to speak, by fragments of nature included in our usual office-urban life - in the sense of whether to consider the same the aquarium is simply an aesthetic object, or there is some medical benefit from it. Now we can say with confidence that there really is a benefit - it was even measured in heart rate and blood pressure numbers.

But, of course, questions remain. For example, to what extent can you fill an aquarium with fish? It is unlikely that a crowd of fish, reminiscent of a bus or subway at rush hour, will have the same calming effect. Could it be that some types of fish are more soothing than others - for example, if you compare a shark and a catfish? How much stress can be relieved with the help of an aquarium and to what extent can you calm down in this way? And, finally, the main question - how do the fish themselves feel, contemplating people on the other side of the glass?
