Sinusoidal voltage generators are widely used to test and adjust various electronic equipment. The article proposes the design of a simple generator 34 based on the Wien bridge and the LM386 UZCH microcircuit.

The Wien bridge is often used to build RC oscillators for the AF and higher frequency ranges. It is convenient to use an op amp as an amplifying element in such generators (Fig. 1). The frequency-setting elements R1, C1, R2, C2 are included in the positive feedback circuit of the OS, while the following conditions must be met: R1 = R2 and C1 = C2. The generated frequency can be determined by the formula f = 1/(27piRC), where R = R1 = R2, C = C1 = C2.

The negative feedback circuit includes elements for stabilizing the output voltage - thermistor RK1 with direct heating and positive TCR, as well as resistor R3. With an increase in the output voltage, the current through the thermistor RK1 increases, it heats up and its resistance increases, which leads to a decrease in the gain and stabilization of the output voltage. Sometimes non-linear elements are used to stabilize the voltage - diodes and zener diodes, which are switched on instead of the resistor R3, and the thermistor is replaced by a resistor.

By changing the values of the frequency-setting elements, it is possible to change the generation frequency over a wide range. To make such an oscillator tunable, it is necessary to use a double variable capacitor or a double variable resistor.

The scheme of the tunable generator is shown in fig. 2, it is assembled on UZCH DA1. The entire operating frequency range of 30 Hz ... 30 kHz is divided into two subranges: 0,03 ... 1 and 1 ... 30 kHz. The desired switch SA1 is selected, and the frequency is smoothly changed with a double variable resistor R2. An EL1 incandescent lamp is used as a thermistor. LED HL2 indicates the presence of supply voltage, HL1 - output. Diodes VD1, VD2 protect the ultrasonic frequency converter from voltage that can be supplied to its output from the load side. In total, the generator has three outputs: two with a fixed voltage. "Output 1" - 3 V (peak value), "Output 2" - the voltage is ten times less, and one, "Output 0", with smooth adjustment (3 ... 8 V) with a variable resistor R50. A load with a resistance of at least 50 ohms can be connected to the output of the device, and the output current of the op-amp should not exceed XNUMX mA.

The generator uses fixed resistors S2-23, MLT, variable - SPO, SP4-1, dual - SPZ-ZZ-ZO, SPZ-33-23, tuning - SP5-2. Oxide capacitors are imported, the rest are K73-16, and C1, C2, C4 and C7 should be selected with a tolerance of at least 5%. Incandescent lamp - SMN6.3-20 (voltage - 6,3 V, rated current - 20 mA). The switch - any small-sized on two provisions and two directions.

The adjustment comes down to setting the trimmer resistor R5 of the above voltage at "Output 1". It is desirable to do this on the first subrange in the middle position of the variable resistor R2 slider.

The device can be assembled on a dielectric board using hardwiring and housed in a suitable plastic case. Variable resistors, LEDs and a subrange switch are installed on the front panel. The scale of the generator is calibrated by the frequency meter.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Electronic coat hanger Panasonic Nanoe X 27.06.2017

Panasonic has released an unusual electronic device - the Nanoe X coat hanger. They are said to be able to clean clothes from unpleasant odors.

The principle of operation of Nanoe X is based on the use of negatively charged particles. Passing through the fabric, the ions are able to eliminate the smell of sweat or cigarette smoke without damaging the fibers. In addition, the fabric is cleaned of pollen particles. Cleaning takes 5-7 hours.

The hanger has two modes of operation. The kit includes a cover that traps negative particles. The price of new items is approximately equal to $180.

There is no data on the level of non-linear distortion of the generator, the operational amplifier used is not broadband, which does not allow us to hope for low non-linear distortion ...
