Security alarm,. switches for household appliances, control sensors on the production line - these are just a small part of the scope of this capacitive relay. It can be used, for example, in the simplest household automation: sat in an armchair - a floor lamp turned on, music started playing, a fan started, etc. In a word, the scope of this relay will be prompted by fantasy, the creative thought of the radio amateurs themselves.

The range of the relay depends on the accuracy of the setting of the capacitor C1, as well as on the design of the sensor. The author has the maximum distance to which the relay reacts is 50 cm.

capacitive relay. Scheme

Coil L1 is wound on a multi-section polystyrene frame from the circuits of transistor radios and contains 500 turns (250 + 250) with a tap from the middle of the PEL-0,12mm wire. Winding - in bulk.

The sensor is installed perpendicular to the PCB plane. It is a piece of insulated mounting wire with a length of 15 to 100 cm, or a square made of the same wire, with sides from 15 cm to 1 m.

capacitive relay

Capacitor C1 - type KPK-M, the rest - type K50-6. RES-10, passport RS4.524.312 is selected as a relay, you can also use RES-10, passport RS4.524.303, or RES-55A, passport 0602. Diode VD1 can be excluded, since it is only necessary to protect the circuit from accidental polarity change nutrition.

The capacitive relay is configured with capacitor C1. First, rotor C1 must be set to the minimum capacity position. relay K1 will operate. Then the rotor is slowly turned in the direction of increasing capacity until relay K1 is turned off. The smaller the capacitance of the tuned capacitor, the more sensitive the capacitive relay and the greater the distance at which the sensor is able to respond to the object. When setting up the capacitor, the body case and the hand with a dielectric screwdriver must be kept as far away from the board as possible.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Intent Predictive Headphones 06.05.2021

The idea for the Enten headphones, which can read a person's intentions, was brought to life by Neurable under the direction of Dr. Ramses Alkaide. While still a student, he thought about developing technologies that could directly interact with the human brain. Initially, the techniques were interesting in the field of prosthetics. However, over time, the scientist realized that the application of technology could be much wider.

The result of the work was a lot of interesting and useful devices. Neurable has announced the pre-order of the first pair of Enten headphones with BCI technology. Their work is based on the fact that the user has only a couple of hours of daily high productivity.

The device suggests the user the best time to take a break in order to maintain high performance throughout the day. Also, the headphones have active elements to turn off notifications when the user is busy.

Unlike conventional headphones, the new ones are made of fabric to make them easier to use. In fact, the new device fully performs the functions of the usual headphones and at the same time allows the user to understand how his brain works.
