With small distances between the factory and the place of consumption, it is possible to transport the still wet mass to the place of work and immediately put it into action. Usually, the preparation of the mass is carried out at the place of work.

Massive xylolite floors it is best to produce on a concrete base. Apply concrete from 1 wt. h. Cement and 7 wt. hours of sand. The base can also serve as a plank floor, brick, clay, etc.

A strong connection must be created between the base and the cladding. To do this, the smooth surfaces of the base are made rough. In the case of a wooden floor, nails are hammered into it in a checkerboard pattern so that the heads protrude slightly: thanks to this, the xylolite lining gains greater strength. The xylolite layer is usually applied in a thickness of 1 to 1,5 cm, depending on the strength of the substrate.

The base is first coated with magnesite mortar, then with a thick layer of mass and, finally, covered with a thin layer of mass. At present, the same composition is usually used for a thin and thick layer, but it is still recommended to use denser fillers, such as slags, etc., for a thick layer (lower). well mixed burnt magnesite in fivefold diluted chlorine liquor. This solution is applied to the base with brushes. Then a thick layer of xylolite is applied.

The hardened thick layer is given a roughened surface in order to achieve a strong bond between the thick and thin layers. A thin layer is applied no earlier than a day after applying a thick layer, and they are applied evenly, using rules and plaster scrapers for this purpose. The final smoothing is carried out after hardening with the help of scrapers (cycles) or planer planers. A thin layer is usually applied with a thickness of 4-8 mm.

Some recommend moistening the mass after molding with water in order to protect the pressed objects from fading, cracking and warping. However, if you work exactly according to the indicated recipes and do not remove the items from the press too early, then moisturizing, which greatly increases the cost of production, becomes redundant.

When using smooth forms, the surface of the molded objects is quite shiny, but the appearance of the objects can be improved by special processing. For white xylolite plates, the easiest way is to rub with a milky liquid consisting of burnt magnesia and a dilute solution of magnesium chloride. This liquid is applied with a soft woolen cloth, the resulting magnesium oxychloride will fill the smallest pores in the plate, and when the surface is rubbed dry, it will look like white porcelain. It can also be impregnated with casein solution, chrome glue, paraffin, etc. In the latter case, objects can be painted with paints, varnished, gilded, etc.

Cladding, floor and wall cladding from xylolite mass impregnated, after perfect hardening and smoothing, in most cases vegetable mineral or emulsified mineral oils. Oiling should be carried out 3-4 months after veneering, as early oiling can easily damage the setting process. From vegetable oils, heated linseed oil is used, which is applied 2-3 times with 24 hour intervals. The lining can also be polished with wax or with a solution of wax in turpentine.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

SSD 7,68 TB from Kingston Technology 26.05.2020

Kingston Digital has announced the availability of the 500TB DC450R and DC7,68R SSDs. These SATA SSDs are designed for data centers. In June of this year, the DC1000M U.2 form factor drive that supports NVMe will be added to them. In all cases, 3D TLC NAND flash memory is used.

The DC500R benefits from VMware Ready certification, which confirms that this SSD supports virtualization and is well suited to work in environments with a large number of read operations, including web servers, virtual desktop infrastructure, operational databases and real-time analytics systems. The drive demonstrates sequential read and write speeds up to 545 and 490 MB / s, respectively. Performance on random access operations in blocks of 4 KB reaches 99 IOPS in read mode and 000 IOPS in write mode. The resource is equal to 25 TBW or 000 full overwrites per day during the warranty period.

The description of the DC450R notes a "special feature set" for read-heavy applications. This model is designed for content delivery networks, edge computing systems, and a wide range of software-defined storage architectures. The drive demonstrates sequential read and write speeds up to 560 and 504 MB / s, respectively. Performance on random access operations in 4 KB blocks reaches 99 IOPS in read mode and 000 IOPS in write mode. The resource is equal to 19 TBW or 000 full overwrites per day during the warranty period.

As for the DC1000M, this drive is hot swappable and fully compatible with today's servers and storage that support U.2 drives. It comes with enterprise-grade features including end-to-end path redundancy, power failure protection, and telemetry monitoring. The sequential read speed reaches 3100 MB / s, write - 2800 MB / s. Performance on random access operations in 4 KB blocks reaches 485 IOPS in read mode and 000 IOPS in write mode. The resource is declared equal to 210 TBW or 000 complete overwrite per day during the warranty period.

The DC500R, DC450R, and DC1000M drives come with a five-year warranty.
